So if I can win both the $49 million dollar lottery and the $425 million dollar lottery, then I should have enough money to start an airline.

What the hell is that diatribe about? Is an AMR pilot bashing DCA because 19 is too short? Really? It's the only real thrill we have left flying jets east of the Rockies is DCA.

It's like picking your own parking spot in the parking lot, there aren't a lot of thrills left in life so just let me do it!

...including the initial PA informing pax about the delay. I love going into DCA, but I think our boy Manno is just being a drama queen for his blog. Maybe we should all start saying stuff like that, in our 15 minute Gate Agent P/A's!

The company sends out a letter on Saturday of a major holiday asking you to make a PA every now and then and DALPA has failed you at 10AM on Monday after the holiday. The horror!!! They should have brought in every rep, convened a special MEC meeting over the holiday, called in the ALPA lawyers, set up the rat!!!
I mean this is a disaster and ALPA has had no response 1 hour into the first business day after the Holiday. Shame on the union, Shame!!!! Pilots are being done irreparable harm every minute this goes on. Emergency!!!

Whenever you see a pilot making the PA at the gate house, stop, and do the APCF secret hand shake signal. It's like how on the RJ with the open mic you could talk to the other guy while he was in the middle of his PA and he could hear you reminding him "don't say [radio edit]". :D
