DAL would be a top place. I'm guessing along with Fed Ex, SWA(even though I think it's stagnant & a bad move)UAL, Us Air(think movement), American, Atlas, Spirit, and Jet Blue.

yep! I picked DL over FDX and WN, even though we were still in BK...

DL called first. I woudnt have left FDX for DL, but definitely WN. Particularly now that Ive experienced the 737!

JH,
Here you go.

Go on Deltanet.
Click on Chief Pilot Support Center CPSC (Left side of Page)
Click on Los Angeles (Left side of Page)
Click on CPO parking guide.

Shows everything. And you can print it for better visual.

That would be great advice but it is 100% incorrect for SNA. It basically says to park at the airport in short term parking - big bucks. I told the CPO about this bad information over a year ago and they never fixed it. For what its worth I did park there once and submitted a claim and was paid. I guess if we all do that they will update the parking guide.

You can park at the Costa Mesa Hilton. The shuttle leaves the Hilton on the hour and 30 past. Leaves the airport at 15 and 45 after. Be sure to get the drivers cell phone in case you come back late at night so you can call them.

Scoop

Thanks guys.

Are you referring to a West Coast domicile? Isn't that all they have? You must not be referring to the 737, as that's all they have as well so they couldn't hold anything else. But even if you were referring to the 737 you'd still be wrong, as 2010 hires have been on the 737 for over a year. :D

Actually a 2010 hire can hold the 7ER.

AS retired a pile of old airframes as well. Go on?

Youre great with reciting stats... but almost always miss the mark on the interpretation and application.

And when they retired those airframes they furloughed a bunch of pilots and they were on furlough for years after Delta offered recall to their last furloughed pilot. How is that for interpretation and application.

We even have a few 767 aircraft still on option!. The last 10q for Oct shows us with 725 aircraft. We have 213 aircraft on firm order. 195 of those aircraft will be delivered by the end of 2016.

A new Flt Ops policy states the pilots should make a PA to the pax every 15 minutes of a delay, including prior to boarding at the gate.

If you are the reason for the delay, late inbound, do you put yourself on double secret probation?

They can patch you through to the gate through ATL radio. Chop chop. The passengers are restless.

No, no secret probation, just tell the Passengers the Truth!

What you now have to do is, when you get to your next gate, A34, instead of going right on board and getting ready to push ASAP, you have to stop and pick up the Gate Agents' mic and start yapping:

"Hi All Y'all, I'm Captain Dick Hungwell, and this is First Officer Craven Morehead. I know we are late, but we just got in to D34, on time, but then we had to wait 10 mintues for a ground crew to show up to park us, and then for an agent to open the door. Seems they were not expecting an Airplane to show up in Atlanta, ON TIME! Now, I'd like to be on board right now, getting ready to go, but some dork on the 4th floor who has no line pilot experience, decided I need to start making Gate Agent P/A's every 15 minutes instead! In just a few minutes, after we find some Food, we will begin preflighting the airplane, but in 15 minutes, I'll need to stop what I'm doing, and come out here to make another 'why we are late' P/A, so it's probably going to be at least 30-45 minutes before we are ready. Just be glad we are not flying into Washington National on a Dark and Stormy night, and my name is not Chris Manno!" http://jethead.wordpress.com/2011/12...ional-airport/
