Sorry T, I'm underwhelmed by that choice. All 4 of the Head Ball Coach picks in the SEC are yawners. AU picks a DC who went 0-12 in his only season at Southern Miss?

We have a new CP for JFK, RT. Used to be a CP in the ATL office. AT will also be retiring from her Flight Ops Managers position, she will be missed.

I'm sure Delta got a hell of a deal on the jets and wrangled the elimination of additional 50 seaters, but the one thing nobody is talking about is that the far superior product lost out. The EMB jets have better seats, more overhead space....not even close. Watching people line the jetway to wait for their bags to be humped up is pathetic. Beancounters win again.

There are far more airlines operating the CRJ-900 than the ERJ-175. It makes labor whipsaw much easier when you have lots of airlines underbidding each other instead of just 2. Doesn't that make the most cents?

The irony of that is that every airline that operated either package of the original PanAm South American route structure, including PanAm, Panagra, Braniff, Eastern, United and American, went bankrupt, and 4 are gone completely.

It is a pretty safe bet to say EVERY airline has gone bankrupt since deregulation. Much easier then to admit the error(s) in that claim (Southwest, Alaska, Sprint, Skywest and Alligient) than list the 160 that have filed and 20 that have filed since the year 2000.

You're lucky to have him. I'm sorry to see him leave the University of Cincinnati (as I was also sorry to see Brian Kelly leave for Notre Dame before him).

Both guys were/are neighbors of mine. Kelly's house was getting egged regularly after he took the Notre Dame job. I expect the Village police have stepped up their patrols around Jones' house..

I would think it fair to surmise that many of those domestic 767 guys WILL be going to the 7ER. There MIGHT be a few that don't.. but I'll wager many just get a new qual.

If I was forced to go though training and a couple of TOEs, I'd think long and hard about going to an airplane that paid more.

T, there's a capt here in ACC all ****ed off about you picking up that trip even though you are on reserve. I told him you are probably doing an LOE. He's still calling ALPA. I tried to calm him down.
