Off course Delta mainline capacity is projected to be up in the second half of 2013 and up quite a bit in 2014. You knew that of course but choose not to point that out for some reason. System wide capacity including DCI will be flat to down slightly. Personally I could care less that DCI is getting a big cut while the mainline is growing.

I disagree with the statements on AF/KL/AZ, but this is a correct statement.

Perhaps having me on your ignore list has something to do with you losing your job in the union. :D

Did Slowplay lose his job with DALPA? Is that confirmed?

I find it hard to believe, those guys always stay off the line. Look how long it took KR to get back to FPL.

Both slow and alfa lost their positions... slow may be up for another position, though- we'll see.

Ok here is another one guys. How do I know where to go for this SIM stuff. I know they were moving the sims to ATL. I'm not on the sim schedule, crew scheduling knows nothing they say and training has yet to call me back.
I'm guessing if in MSP I get hotel for the event but if in ATL no hotel for recency till the 1st of January.

The quickest way to find out exactly what's going on, and where the sims are, is to pick up the phone and call your Fleet Captain, that's what he's there for. Ask him all those questions, he will know the answers.

If you are ATL Based, until Jan. 1, you will have to pay for your own motel if you need one in ATL. I use the Motel 6 on Virginia Av. about $46 out the door.

A lot less than they'll get with a VA tie up.

Nice pivot. My question stands. How many LHR slots did Delta have before the AF JV?

Extra credit: How did Delta acquire its LHR slots?

Some of the last few posts have made me cringe.

I'm just a nobody and I don't have any power, not a moderator or anything like that but I have a humble suggestion about the philosophy on here regarding people's identity.
I think its important to keep up at least the pretense of anonymity on here.
I know its a pretty thin fig leaf sometimes but I would urge people not to post stuff that would identify individuals with their screen names. If somebody wants to out themselves then that is fine, but I don't think someone else should out them.

On a related note, I think its silly to use some of the initials the way we do. For instance, why say that the President of ALPA is "LM"? That's just dumb. The elected officials and even committee guys sign up for those positions fully expecting to be publicly criticised or praised or whatever. It comes with the territory. I think we should go ahead and say their names.

If I want to say that Lee Moak or Kingsley Roberts is a bum then it should be OK to say it. They ran for public office. They are big boys. They can take it.

What I don't think we should do is identify who is who by associating them with their anonymous screen name on this board.

I don't want to know who any of you guys are.

Sorry for the rant. just my 2 cents.

Initial slots came from....wait for it.....Air France! Follow on slots from American as a result of the BA/AA JV. And this last slot from BA for being given BMI and almost 60% of LHR slots. Just guessing.

There is significant turnover going on in the union... alfa and slow's anonymity is very well protected beyond what they have already given out.

Oops, sorry, I didn't raise my hand. I didn't mean to take ftb's question.:D
