But Maybe, we are looking at Jet Blue so we can become king of the east coast and keep the status quo with Alaska out west. I only mention Jet Blue because no one is so either it's true cuz it's secret or I'm wayyyy off base:D

I've been thinking the same thing Ferd, AA and USAir both have bases in BOS and cover the east coast pretty well.

If RA2 wants to get back into the BOS-NYC-Florida market they ran away from after they shuttered Song and Express, and get more gates and more feed into JFK, for International connections, buying JB would do it.

Now that SWA killed off Air Tran, DL could do the same to JB, and finally eliminate the $49 fares to Florida.

I'm sure that's the idea/business case.

yes, I usually am. I need days off during the week for child care.

I'm enjoying the time off because either a) I'm going to be displaced into something that works for a living or b) My wife goes back to work during the week and I'll be bidding weekends for child care as well. I feel your pain.

Ok, any math geniuses out there? I bought 30 contracts with a 13 strike price of LCC in my DC plan for an average price of $1.53. That's like me holding 3000 shares of LCC at 14.53. In AH it went up to 14.90 but the market cap is going to go up by $700 Million by AM, I hope based on 162.47 million shares and a market cap of $2.38 billion. LCC's share is $3.080 billion. I think the opening price will be close to $19 per share?

How's that working out?

I sold them this am for a 12 cent gain. Oh well. Minus about 18 bucks commission.

Likely a very good move. The smart money has moved on.
