Well, we didn't do that on this most recent contract. With the lack of qualified applicants for regionals increasing, the power is swinging back to mainline pilots.

Please review the little history lesson I posted:

I can't imagine the outrage if he tried this with the Fedex group.

There is more to this story than Bar's history lesson and a policy manual faux pas. Call me paranoid, but this little event with Pinnacle demonstrates the continuing Lorenzo-ization of this industry.

We play nice at DALPA, but if you think a simple innocuous undercutting of bargaining rights is acceptable, you are fooling yourself.

The "lunatic fringe" raises all kinds of conspiracies and blames the union for not doing this or that...If this PNCL contract flies and gets signed, the fringe elements are correct.

To catch a crook, you have to think like a crook. IMO, strategic planning is sorely lacking especially in its efforts to "restore" the profession. Strategic planning step 1: Define the desired "end state" for all ALPA carriers...all follow on steps lead us on a path to the desired end state.

If any Union business is not conducted with the desired end state always at the forefront, then we have an ineffective strategy.

LM the leader of ALPA and former leader of DAPLA, he should of all people on planet earth said "stop" DALPA needs to be here. LM's fault, with a degree of DAL's for not doing the same.

To the person who said TW devious desire to get to DAL, I call bs. TW would still have to interview with this and I think he is a stand up guy. His job is first to the Pinnacle pilots and LM was there.

Now there's an oxymoron if I have ever seen one. Give me an example of the "power" we have shown recently?

I think I remember you said you fairly junior on the SLI, not sure. I would wait a couple of years before you hail section 1 a win. Better than before, maybe, but hardly a win.

I've been here 17+ and am more nervous now than I have ever been about my future job prospects, and this is after talking to my reps.

I understand your pessimism. It's your nature. I simply don't agree with it.

Boog, understand your concern, however wasn't the L word used not all that long ago? This is problematic, but not concern about your future job prospects.
