How? That's a big section, but if you're talking about pre-coordination prior to negotiating potential scope provisions, what scope provisions were negotiated that conflict with our PWA?
How would we know? None of our guys were in the room. PG; When the vault letter gets posted, and it will, we will have even more to discuss. Here is what is surprising me with this discussion, the DALPA cheerleading squad is defending being locked out of the room...why? |

What if the MEC was notified, but didn't think it necessary to show up for negotiations? |

Has it been determined yet, if the DALPA Chairman, T. O'M., was not "Notified"?

My rep said DALPA was not involved in any way. Certainly with politics and compartmentalization, it is possible he was uninformed. Other reps have said the same thing as I understand.
Yeahbut...does the company have to "inform" all the LEC reps, or just the MEC Chairman, and let him decide if it's sponge worthy? I mean, he did agree to our last T/A without talking to the LEC guys first... |

You added after I quoted... |
Ok, I need to flat out ask at this point. What exactly would DALPA have negotiated between DAL management, 9E mismanagement, and the 9E pilot group?
I definitely feel as though the 9E pilot group should have approached us, just out of common courtesy. That being said I'm not sure what our involvement would have added or taken away from 9E's TA. Maybe I'm missing something here (I usually am), but seems as though the only thing that was missed was DALPA having a seat at the table. |

Really? What is changing in our contract with this agreement?
The beating heart of our contract is this sentence: Scope Except as provided in Sections 1 D., E., O., and Q.: 1. All flying performed by or for the Company or any Company affiliate will be performed by pilots in accordance with the terms and conditions of this PWA. This Pinnacle Bridge Agreement will be the first time in history that Delta Air Lines will sign a contract with some other pilots for company flying to be performed under the terms and conditions of some other PWA. This is a horrible idea. Once done, the precedent will haunt us forever. Please don't let your loyalty to Moak blind you to the danger of doing this. The lawyers at ALPA National are a clear and present danger to all of our careers. The Delta MEC MUST NOT take their advice on issues where they have a conflict of interest. They do not work for the Delta pilots. They represent the permanent bureaucracy in Herndon. They have other considerations in mind that directly conflict with the best interests of the careers of the Delta pilots. |
