Interesting analogy. When Mr. Moak signs this agreement, it will be the equivalent of the US President ignoring the US Constitution, the Congress and the Supreme Court, and writing law. Then executing that law. If that happened, the House would impeach the President and the Senate would convict and remove him. If the Congress did not remove him, it would mean we have a dictatorship and the government must be overthrown.
Years ago, I was roundly criticized here for referring to our ALPA President as "Kim Jong Moak." I called him that because I saw the beginnings of dictatorial behavior. When he signs this agreement, he will prove my point. Now, will our reps impeach him? It's doable because I'm sure FDX and UAL/CAL are mortified at what they're witnessing. If we don't/can't impeach him, we need to secede from this "union." Not overthrow it, secede from it. Carl |

The revenge of the angry red book guy comes out again. Look at your heroes at USAPA getting run over now by events a new union will not help you in your quest. Just wait until two years from now when the fences come down, you will be able to hear carl scream all the way from Florida.
As to your last point, Carl is plenty senior enough to hold whatever he wants... |

They may not be able to change a legally binding agreement, but they can make Mr. Moak pay for it with his job. Our reps need to mobilize the FDX and UAL/CAL camps and remove Mr. Moak immediately. Anything less is to admit our irrelevance. Carl |

You respond with hysterical indignation. It seems something is making you a little uncomfortable...or perhaps you are trying to distract the readers from something? Was there a question you didn't answer? I don't recall seeing your answer about contributions?

I do somewhat agree with you about what is important (I actually am not 100% convinced that maintaining the union as an ongoing entity is an important goal in and of itself - the union is after all a means to an end). On the other hand, if you think posting here is a contribution to what is important, you're deluding yourself. You're posting on an anonymous web board. Virtually nothing positive comes from these boards. On their best day they are a waste of valuable time. The reason I post rarely (43 now!) is because I don't want to get into any discussion that never ends. So why do I post at all? Not because of some secret political allies. Sometimes I feel that your little clique of APC junkies is doing is exactly what people accuse the DAL MEC of doing: Group think. I think you guys need someone to challenge you on your mutual reinforcement of whispers, rumors and paranoid speculation. That's the only time I post (think about the moniker). Otherwise, I read this site once or twice a month because I think it's a depressing and pointless time suck. My low post count is a source of pride to me as your seemingly endless musings are a source of comfort to you.

What office is held by the people pulling your string? Or are they [something]-elect? |

I hate to break this to you, but having a lot of posts on a web board is not something people with a life brag about. Step away from the keyboard and regain your perspective.
I asked a simple question about your previous positions on an issue (so that I may compare it to your present day positions). You respond with hysterical indignation. And two honest questions for "hornetsnest". 1. Are you claiming you do not work for, nor are you associated with the DAL MEC in any way, shape, or form, other than you are a simple member? 2. Do you receive FPL for union work? Inquiring minds want to know. |

I bolded you comment. To let you know there are MANY lurkers (observers) here. This is an excellent source of unfiltered information which affects us.

So we gots the outgoing DTW guy; the incoming DTW guy; the former DTW guy who allegedly has a new job; the existing ATL guy; a new ATL guy; a lurking NYC guy and who is next to be outed in an anonymous board? APC sekret rule zero.zero: Don't like the discussion? Tell everyone he's an ALPA guy on FPL! I'm beginning to think there's an APC vault letter with everyones real names :( |
