I just wish I could see something like that at a meeting!

I like Padre although he probably hates my guts. If I in any way showed disrespect, it was not my intent to do so. He is very smart (if he is who I think he is).

At the end of the day our Reps and our Admin work way beyond the call of duty to represent us and they truly do serve with the intent of making things better for our pilots and profession.

ALPA provides them with nearly no training in how the representational system works. As a result their job is a lot harder than it should be. I'm genuinely sorry that taking pot shots from guys like me is part of the deal. My words are not criticism. I am much too humble to ever criticize individuals (most of whom are a lot smarter than I), the issues are what matters.

We have that answer as well. Mr. Moak will display your irrelevance.

The lawyer in question is a member of the D.C. Bar.

In Georgia, he practices politics.

So, you make an allegation which is proven to be patently false, but you don't bother to fix the previous erroneous post?? Nice.

BTW, I checked on two ALPA attorneys (and not the one you seem to have a problem with, I'm quite sure) and it took all of three minutes to determine each of them are members of their respective state Bar Associations.

So, all of your slamming of them appears to be totally off the mark. What's new?

FIRE.....ready......aim....

The far more interesting point is how the usual ALPA defenders (padre2992 being the latest example), quickly jumped to defending the idea of an unlicensed lawyer giving us legal advice. Then he attacked Bar for questioning why ALPA would take such advice.

This is the problem with some of the ALPAoids. The first thought is to defend the empire at all costs, rather than stopping and thinking about the wisdom of the status quo. What would you and padre have said if it came to light that DPA was taking legal advice from an unlicensed lawyer? Would your first thought be to defend that concept?

Carl, you have a reading comprehension problem. ALPA lawyers are NOT unlicensed. Just because Bucking falsely accused them of that, doesn't make it so.

The law license thing was off the mark. Bucking Bar corrected the record in large font.

The error was unfortunate but I hope this evening's little detour into the minutiae of state bar associations doesn't cause us to dismiss the heart of Bucking Bar's longstanding criticisms regarding ALPA National's institutional flaws.

Despite your dismissive and derogatory attempt to use tonight's mistake to discredit all his arguments, I have found that Bucking Bar's "aim" is usually very accurate.

I happen to agree 100% with his contention that the Delta pilots have not been well served by ALPA's attorneys in recent years. ALPA's attorneys have a glaring conflict of interest when they advise our MEC on many issues. In particular, anything to do with scope. I think its an issue our MEC needs to address.

I also appreciate Bar's raising the alarm about Delta management signing contracts with other pilot groups. I think that is a very dangerous development and our MEC should get some advice about that issue from someone other than the permanent bureaucracy in Herndon. Those guys do not work for the Delta pilots. They work for Lee Moak. And that's a problem.
