...while those 747 guys keep their pensions (frozen--but at least they exist). Finis, I'm glad you're able to cash in on another 5 years of 777A pay. I am. But don't come here and tell us we should be happy with the stagnation on the bottom third of the list while you've got yours. How many times have you said something like, "things are about to get better" or "we'll get them next time." You don't even need "things to get better" or a "next time." Face it: you're an automatic "yes" voter on any contract, as Scope? You don't care. JV abuse? Meh. You're on your 777 either way. And your attitude shows it. Your exhortations that junior guys should play ball, suck it up, and trust "our" "union" are misguided at best and arrogantly disconnected at worse. Please stop. |

Purple, You are a real jewel. Today one of our brother in arms lost a child and it made me realize what is important in my life, like family and friends. It also made me realize what is not important in my life, like very negative people. Because you say I am arrogant I will not call you the least important person, instead I will call you the most unimportant. Hope that makes you feel better.
My thoughts are with him. :( |
Sorry to hear someone lost a child, terrible.
I watched a dual seat ejection today near Luke AFB... driving down road watching jets, suddenly pop pop, two good chutes with smooth landing/plf in farm field. F16, sounds like both ok. Looked like on dept from touch and gos. Think I was the first to call it in. Glad they seemed OK and news is reporting same. |
More MD90's
EVA Air Fleet Revamp Boon
For Delta’s MD-90 Operations Taiwan’s EVA Air is planning to reduce its freighter fleet and phase out its MD-90 passenger aircraft. President Austin Cheng says all 11 of the MD-90s are being sold to Delta Air Lines, with five scheduled to be transferred next year, three more in 2015 and the last three in 2016. Delta repeatedly has espoused the benefits of operating MD-90s and earlier this month said it intended to expand the fleet. http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-conte...10/pleased.gif |

The Max gross T/O wt. of the 777-200LR is about 768,000, I'm not sure what the 747-400's is. I'm guessing it's more than that. Carl?
At Delta, at least in the last 20 years, I am pretty sure seats were never used in the formula. The formula more or less went away with the 737-800 negotiations and later the 777 and 76-4. You had aircraft that were much more efficient than the aircraft they were "replacing" so the goal was to capture that efficiency in the pay rate. If you would have plugged in those aircraft based on the previous formula, (or seats) the rate would have been less. |
Money to burn
Glad DAL has money to burn, while ****ing of our pax:

are we having problems finding the 717 internally? although I personally think we are short on the 88 I wonder if the percieved shortness is related to nobody taking summer irops into account? or that will be the excuse. BTW, heard the quick 88 -> 717 transition is a pita. |
