Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I get assigned SC the day prior, then they call me while on the SC. Three times this month it was for a dhd that leaves (not reports) in 2 hours. Talk about unrealistic expectations! One time they were so desperate they held the flight for me.
The other time, they gave me a 2 hour dhd callout and when they realized I wasn't going to make that departure, they no-op'd me. Later that day they gave me another 2 hour dhd callout when it was completely unnecessary... so I deviated.

1 hour and 5 minute to GO. They held the jet of 160 passengers. Didn't help the flight was B3 either.
Said it takes me 1:30 to get to the crewroom, 1 hour drive and 30 minutes in the parking lot. By the way, 30 minutes might not be enough, 44 minutes the other day from the time I arrived in the parking lot til the crew room. Nice.
Anyways, they said I could park at short term, sounded fun to me. $68 for 30 hours of parking and that was a month ago and still haven't be reimbursed. Already talking to the CPSC.

Yep, ftb... you can be at 79:59 on an ALV 82 month and get involuntarily taken for a 17:01 credit trip.

If ALV is 80, your guarantee is 78, so at 77:59 you're good for another trip. Only when you hit 78 are you done.
You're good for a 17:01 trip then!
IIRC rsv guarantee does not go above 78, amirite?
So if ALV is 82, then you can be taken at 77:59 for a 19:01 trip instead.

On point, though, I bet it's going to be somewhat aggressive when they are tight. They are on a green slip mitigation binge, and it's been quite frequent to break up a trip to make it fit on my rsv days.
I just love how we eliminated trip parking and gave them something much more onerous that can be used throughout all categories.
My quote should have read 80 hours for guarantee.

Council 44 notes - this guy is downright funny!

The Phantom Speaks
Speculation continues to run rampant about the size of a narrow-body order. Up to 50 from a vendor is possible. Which vendor? Well the Phantom doesn’t have any facts, but apparently the manufacturer had something in common with _____toast, ______fries, ______maids, and a place Lance Armstrong is associated with. Just sayin’.
Fill in the blank…
Further progression is also rumored to be coming in our fleet as well:
A319,
A320,
A___.
4, 8.5, 3, 3 is steady progression but the Phantom was thinking “Hey! When’s the next ‘event’
so we can move even further ahead?” Well . . .

Airline B No Yes û
Airline C Yes No ü
Airline T No Yes. û
Here’s another riddle…
Q. What do 46°53'01"N 102°47'20"W, 17,787 people, 7,521 households, 4,308 families, and Delta Air Lines have in common?
A: Dickinson, North Dakota. One of the new routes and destinations for 2013 that keep adding up. It may not sound fancy, but apparently it’s a valuable market. Who knew?
In addition to the others in the merger, SWA is having another teachable moment. They can’t requal their AirTran 717 pilots for CQ because someone has bought up all the simulator time in the country. They may have to train in CHINA! That means buying their guys tickets on . . .wait for it . . . Delta!
More merger rumors . . . Now that Southwest is completing the integration of AirTran, are they eyeballing someone else? Perhaps someone far from Atlanta? Can their fleet of 737s be ETOPS certified?
This summer looks like it could be a hot one (for GSs). Plan accordingly. Or, if you’re like the Phantom and you’d like the summer off, bid the 717.
Management put some lithium-ion batteries in their business-plan calculators and came up with the conclusion that the Delta pilots will have to wait for the 787. But . . . it was made public at the company Leadership Conference. They’re thinking about a wide-body order . . . one condition . . . it actually has to fly.

Ferd, going for non sequitur post of the year. ...

FO Version

Captain version ?
What the heck has any of this got to do with Average Line Value and the fact Delta's min staffing model is going to be green slip heaven (if you're into that kind of thing)? I wouldn't get my hands dirty with any of them, but Jennifer Grey, pre rhinoplasty as a aerobatic pilot in Wind kinda caught my fancy as something I could get into.
