By the time anyone has enough seniority to fly on your equipment they're all going to be fat and ugly!! :D:eek::D

Ah, the A320/319 CRTs... not bright enough in the daytime, can't dim them enough at night!

Keep telling yourself that. It's not what it was a year ago (22-25 days off or more.)
I will take 17 days off with weekends off and fly 40 hrs to get paid 70.
It beats flying 70-75 hrs and most weekends.
Come summer it will get ugly but the ALV will be so high you can PD a Wed. and be off for the week. Do this a few times and get 2 weeks off during the summer and still get 70 hrs of pay.

This is a post better left unposted :D Don't let the word get out about the PD on humpday!

Ahh, screw it - it's fun to share. With all the whiteslip "ladies of the night" that we have, if you can get down to the 1 or 2 day bucket, your likelihood of flying goes WAYYY down.

An even better play is to you use a PB day (if you have one) on day 3 of 5 for the same effect, except you get paid for the entire thing. I had a glorious October 2 years ago doing just what you described. 3 PB days bought nearly the whole month off.

Now the next question becomes, how to get PB days on a regular basis?

True dat.
Guys on blind white slips are picking up whatever piece of crap drops into the pot that will fit in their schedule.

Reserves in my category never have to cover any 1 or 2 day trips.

Good for reserves I guess but I still wish DALPA had kept some sort of cap. Giving management enhanced productivity is one thing but the current situation is a bit ridiculous. Our union really failed us. All those ladies of the night flying 95 hours are costing us a lot of advancement and hiring.

A good contract protects us from management AND from each other.

Its putting in a blind swap to drop a 2 or 3 day and pick up any 3 or 4 day.

And guess what? Swaps are not limited by the max pick up rules. Thanks DALPA.

Bye-bye to any hiring.
