Took Kew Cab tonight from LGA-JFK and I swear the driver was drunk. He even rear ended a guy pulling into JFK. I kept thinking "surely he's going to stop" and yelled when it was too late. Knocked the headlight off his car. I was just glad when I got out of that cab in one piece, and was close enough to walk the rest of the way.

I love the drivers who keep the air off except for at their seat.

Still I think I hold a record for a 40 minute drive from the parking lot to the airport.

We were planning to hire, but....

the stock price has fallen too much. Flight Ops and Network and RA all wanted to, but the Board said no.

(I'm just trying to stay a step ahead of them).

They've got a view of it on their website.

Where's the flat panel in the center for all the engine instruments? The best thing about the new glass is no more loud a$$ altimeter shaker!

I was told by RF once that they were looking at several options including keeping the center panel and backup instruments as is. I was thinking NOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

The latest I've heard is the engine/flight control displays, already flat panel, will stay. The flight instruments panels will replace the analog displays, cutting down on weight and maintenance costs. I guess it's getting harder to find companies who fix all the old analogue instruments.

Based on the ISS picture and the above, I would think the standby instruments would be replaced with a small flat panel display. Just my guess.

What's the guess on training on the new displays? A CD or a sim? I've heard a CD only but that's just a rumor.
