How does it look that a SkyTeam member and JV partner is giving routes to our competitor and competitor of the JV airlines. Not only that with Alitalia giving up this route, will it still count against the JV ratios. Now that Alitalia isn't flying it, will that be a decrease in their portion of the ratio?

Emirates is not using Delta or Alitalia route authority, their Milan-JFK flight also isn't part of Skyteam or the Transatlantic JV.

Emirates is using fifth-freedom routes that are part of the US-EU Open Skies agreement. The only approval EK received was a temporary approval from the Italian authorities...

Basically Emirates is flying NYC - Milan - Dubai and can sell each leg individually...

Lets hit them with a billion dollar landing fee then. So what if they retaliate. We pull out of DXB, they pull out of every US market. Worth it IMO.

Amen brother. Looks like we're starting to slowly. Too bad we squandered all that Western presence back in the day.

Is this the new MD88 avionics, that are supposed to replace the current version, which replaced the previous version on American's jets which replaced the DC-9's? If so, how did you ever find enough control authority to invert the thing ... oh nevermind, the rudder. Another couple of complete cockpit upgrades and we'll probably have the bugs ironed out so you have navigational accuracy better than 3 miles and 2,500 feet. Autoland will probably still take you off in the weeds if a beer truck drives within half a zip code of the localizer antenna.

I dont know, I was told by MX guys that the movie was shot using the 73N screens. Not sure what a 737 screen looks like, is it fuzzy like the 88s?

I see they're adding LAX-CMH. It'll be interesting to see how DL responds to essentially doubling "capacity" on that route. Is there truly double the current demand? I seriously doubt it. Will DL cut and run, gifting yield to a competitor to preserve the almighty yield, or stick it out and fight for marketshare?

LAX-CMH has been happening for awhile, I think its only 3 times a week. Are you guys adding daily?

Hilarious!! True, sadly true as well. Personally, I take the 101 to the 405, go thru the Sepulveda Pass and bypass the airport traffic by taking the back roads by getting off the 405 at La Tijera.:D

Of course, there are times I take Malibu Canyon to the PCH and come down the 1 to Lincoln.

We do LAX-CMH red eyes daily. Have been for awhile. I, unfortunately, am flying it tomorrow night.

Definitely 73N screens. And, no, they're pretty clean. I like 'em.

Do these routes have to be aprooved by the US as well?

Time to drill baby drill, cut off their ImEx welfare and pull the 5th fleet and make those fake royals defend themselves while cutting off their multi trillion dollar wealth transfer and they won't be able to play Howard Hughes like this anymore.

Too bad none of that will happen with the current administration in power.
