Chihuahuas don't care if they're late to the party. They just want people to know they are there.

(Trying to build a reputation for the 717)

LOL. How well do Chihuahuas track down contaminated side walks?

Are you trying to add a little sunshine to the party? Some lemonade to the lemon party?

Stop it. :D

We all knew the 757 retirements were coming, and that with less international block hours on the ER, there's less need for FO's, especially in ATL and NYC. The guys who will be displaced off that seat will be very junior, and they'll most likely accept a surplus of them into 737's, 320's, 88's and 717's. It's not going to cause a cascade. With all the new NB capt. positions, which is very good news considering there are NO capt displacements on this bid, not as many guys will end up getting displaced anyhow. Although I feel bad for the displaced junior guys off the ER, there was a day when it took many years just to hold the 757. And I do think this bodes well for hiring, fairly soon. The 100/107 over under on this bid doesn't accurately portray it for what it is- a positive development for everyone except the most junior ER FO's at the company. That said, everyone should remember to "bid what you want, want what you bid", because this sort of AE can end up doing some funny things.

I don't think so Scambo. Take a look at reserves req/available for all those categories. The FOs have been really fat for a long time.

I flew with one last month that only flies about once every other month.

With the reserve system we have I think it would help if you also knew this pilot's seniority within his category to give that anecdotal info some context.

And we've just started losing pilots from the category to the 717. The AE will bring 15 into the category; what's the O/U on how many from reinstatement?
