I'm always serious. Don't put words in my mouth. You don't know me!

I'm sorry...I'm sorry. For my punishment, I'll seriously consider Longevity Based Pay. I may just have to come out of the closet on this issue. :D

For a break from the levity: FOCUS....scope is a multi-faceted front, the new manufacturer entrants are the newest gnat to buzz in:

Scope Clauses May Affect Use Of New RJs

"Airlines also can use pay increases or other benefit or work rule improvements to try to win concessions from the unions on scope"

Look out for Embraer, Mitsu, and Bombardier...their weight problems on the sub 100 seat jets will become our battleground.

Mitsu plans on certifying their 90 seater to a lower weight for NA, to get under scope clauses....but that is the camel's nose.

carry on

An open letter to my fellow APC'ers........

I must open this letter with an apology and end it with a request.

I have let down my family, my friends, my delta brothers and sisters, and, most importantly, our eminence Lee Moak.

It has been approximately 6 weeks now since I first exchanged hands with the that white powered demon and since then my life has descended into chaos. What started out as a simple recommendation from a fellow crew member as a way to combat that uncomfortable, not-so-fresh summer feeling we are all familiar with has turned into fixation to which I have been unable to abstain.

It began simple enough. A few couple average shakes and applications, a refreshing little tingle, then off on my way. Before I knew it I was going through any entire bottle before noon while hiding in the ATL crew room bathroom stall feening my next fix. I wanted to tingle ALL the time, and not for just those first few minutes after application.

My wife says I'm disconnected, my kids no longer recognize me, my friends don't call anymore. Gold Bond Medicated powder has become my life as I struggle to get a handle back on what's important.

Unfortunately HIMS is unable to treat me because over the counter men's skin care product addictions do not qualify as substance addiction by the AMA. The captains I fly with want nothing to do with me on the layover as my tingling induced medicated powder benders have become well reputed throughout my base.

So here I sit, listening to Jon Bon Jovi albums, half naked, covered in Gold Bond Medicated powder. I ask you keep me in your thoughts while heeding my warning, for that lusty, sensual, tingling allure was apparently too much for this flyboy.

With warmest regards,
DH

There's been a lot about the MD88's and LGBP concerns. The board here on APC vigorously debated the LGBP issue. Some thought this was a junior pilot issue, since they see the LGBP more than anyone else. Some say they should be inserted and then shown to the Captain when pulled out. Others thought showing the LGBP in public was too "in your face" and thought those who handle LGBP's should keep it to themselves. A lot of the LGBP's are black, and that's an issue. Some of the LGBP are rumored to be of Chinese origin and some were handled by Muslims.

I just pointed out the Landing Gear Brake Pin debate on APC does not matter because the brakes on the landing gear of an MD88 don't work anyway, so who cares if they are worn out?

Carl made a joke, and it was kinda funny.

Carl,
I was taking pictures. I got a nice one of you on the main float.
Carl goes: touche

T goes:I didn't think his "joke" was all that funny. Hopefully Carl doesn't quit his day job... or maybe he should, then you could move up a number.

T only thinks it's funny when he tells it.

I thought it was already public knowledge, even if a news release hasn't been put out.

I just kind of skimmed the last few pages but it seems some here are saying we can get more pay if we come out of the closet? I like more pay. Is there a test?
