Really? Seriously?
And after you read Deltanet news, you see a lot of LGBT. So it's the first thing I see and then I wonder, what's T talking about? |
N9810f,
You may be right....i was under the impression that these were additional airframes that were not accounted for in the great Mighty Dog world culling...spoke with my rep who had no knowledge of them and cannot locate the source of the article after much a googling and yahooizing...when mentioned to a several check airman, they just stared at me with drool coming out of the corner of their mouths....maybe its just me, though....i have that way with captains.....but...did have one that said it was true and hen informed the other check airman that the info has not been released yet....sooooo....take it for what its worth....maybe there's a cartoon hiding in here somewhere...DW |

Not really. It's a serious issue, and if you choose to make light of it by connecting it to a gay lesbian community acronym, then you need to grow up a little. But then again, I apparently don't care about your situation.. right? Carl cares because he talks the talk.. (Got news for ya) Carl wants to make sure that he is always at the top of the heap... pay wise. (Bigger has to pay more because of all that responsibility crap) I am looking at a system that would put more money in YOUR pocket. But by all means, justify his little "joke", and keep on keepin on. I got mine.. dream and ***** about what could be yours.
I'm reminded of what someone posted not long ago here: It's OK if you're not gay. |

An open letter to my fellow APC'ers........
I must open this letter with an apology and end it with a request. I have let down my family, my friends, my delta brothers and sisters, and, most importantly, our eminence Lee Moak. It has been approximately 6 weeks now since I first exchanged hands with the that white powered demon and since then my life has descended into chaos. What started out as a simple recommendation from a fellow crew member as a way to combat that uncomfortable, not-so-fresh summer feeling we are all familiar with has turned into fixation to which I have been unable to abstain. It began simple enough. A few couple average shakes and applications, a refreshing little tingle, then off on my way. Before I knew it I was going through any entire bottle before noon while hiding in the ATL crew room bathroom stall feening my next fix. I wanted to tingle ALL the time, and not for just those first few minutes after application. My wife says I'm disconnected, my kids no longer recognize me, my friends don't call anymore. Gold Bond Medicated powder has become my life as I struggle to get a handle back on what's important. Unfortunately HIMS is unable to treat me because over the counter men's skin care product addictions do not qualify as substance addiction by the AMA. The captains I fly with want nothing to do with me on the layover as my tingling induced medicated powder benders have become well reputed throughout my base. So here I sit, listening to Jon Bon Jovi albums, half naked, covered in Gold Bond Medicated powder. I ask you keep me in your thoughts while heeding my warning, for that lusty, sensual, tingling allure was apparently too much for this flyboy. With warmest regards, DH I understand some of what you are going through. It started innocently enough with me. I'm not a member of the MEC. I don't get an additional 5 hours of pay to do yard work. I have to do my own. This year there is a bumper crop of mosquitoes, spiders, chiggers and ticks. I've been using Gold Bond Medicated Anti-Itch Cream to treat my bug bites. Now, I have the best yard in the neighborhood. I'm working in it constantly. I look forward to the tick check afterwards. I'm constantly searching my body for bug bites. It's becoming obsessive. I can't stop. The crème is so tingly, refreshing. So smooth....ah. I can only imagine how hard it must be dealing with the white powder issue. I'm here for you brother. |
Geez. Its that tingly huh?
We might have to add Gold Bond to the acronym. LGBTGB |

Putting things in perspective for me tonight when I came home complaining about my job and my day at work.
Portable shelters couldn't save 19 firefighters So unbelievably sad..... God bless them and their families. Secondly, "AU CONTRAIR MON AMI Columbia". :) At this very time last year (in June anyway), I was in Afghanistan hoping to be the very first person to vote "NO" on the Tentative Agreement. (Kabul is 8.5hrs ahead of ATL time.) I felt too, that we'd left items on the table with the leverage we had. You want me to lighten up defending everything ALPA, missy? How about this board lightens up with the doom & gloom lately? Company stock is at a 52-week high. I "assume" the BOD meeting at the end of July will authorize hiring more pilots. There are 200+ airplanes comes in the next few years, & people act like this board is their only hobby?! I know, I know, someone is going to come on here, "quote" my post and discount it as being a Pro-ALPA supporter, too optimistic, and/or give themselves an excuse to beotch by saying it's an anonymous web board, & if I don't like it, I can quit coming to the thread. Well, you know what, just like everyone else who comes here, almost religiously, :) I'm addicted to watching the "group think" of this board & just choose to see the glass as "half full". Good day, GJ |
Glass half full heh.... I always love the third choice besides it being half empty, a Delta Crew Resources guy will look at the glass and decide it's over-staffed by 50%.
(ok, it's engineer, and over-engineered, but you know...) |

So smooth....ah. I can only imagine how hard it must be dealing with the white powder issue. I'm here for you brother. The real problem will be when I have to transition back to the right seat of the MD88. This will no doubt test my resolve. Perhaps, a support group may be in order. My last attempt will be to approach flight ops and ask to transition to the 7er or airbus due to the nature of my serious condition. I understand that will only solve the "not so fresh feeling" The bigger challenge lies ahead with how to overcome that tingling sensation? I am not sure if it was a gift from god, or a curse. Never-the-less it's a sensation I will struggle to overcome, for sure! Recommendations: First, I tried to cut it with baking soda thinking that I would try and trick the boys. They quickly saw through my scheme. In protest they made the day more uncomfortable and itchy... I suppose it was a retaliation move on their part. Next I tried to swipe some of the kids baby powder thinking the wife would not recognize. Damn, I was wrong, she measures that better than her cooking ingredients. She confronted me, without hesitation I broke into a apology and made up a story that I used it on my arm pits. O' the humility that I lied about a white powder substance. Besides, it leaves a unmistakable residue in the boxer/briefs where as gold bond seems to melt away, somehow knowing that you are trying to hide the use from your significant other (now that we have to include ALL couples) or even our brothers in NRT who use the laundry Asian laundry services. I will try a multi-prong approach looking for support from my aviation brothers (I hope not sisters...that would be just disgusting) as well as my personal resolve to handle this situation. In closing all recommendations are welcome to get this Pandora back in the box...or least manageable where it does not control my life with applications in hidden spaces. |

How does that 22R2 staffing report work? By my math (and my calculator work is suspect) the Nov PWA requirements are quite a bit lower than the number of pilots on the PBS Line Count report. Do they pad the PWA requirement by an known/unknown factor?
Let me put it another way, the Nov forecast for pilot requirements is about 800 numbers less than the total number of pilots on the Reg & Res lines for July. Why would hiring be needed when apparently these number indicate more displacements could take care of any understaffed categories? |
