As one of the bypass-furlough guys, I will be returning and have been waiting for over a year for this to happen. I fully credit ALPA for allowing me to complete an employment contract (now on a short-term extension) that included active flying. Funny, my last day of active flying was yesterday, I now am on a very sporatic possible fly-list until recalled..........timing could not have better!

(I know one, for sure, that isn't coming back.)

Just curious, why isn't the one coming back?

That's OK. Because that's what ALPA told us we wanted! (Based on the unverified survey results.)
PD,

Please post the document, for all to see, where ALPA specifically "told" the pilot group what we (pilots) wanted. Thank you

Less time off and a barely-COLA hourly rate increase. Win!
If you say so Purple.

Hey, at least Delta is paying lip service to hiring again...a year later than they and ALPA promised it while pushing for the TA.
I didn't realize the Company or ALPA "promised" hiring in 2012? Where'd you read that Purple?

The good news is, junior guys will initially move even further backwards, as bypass folks return. (Granted, it will be less than 200.)
Ya know, I had a girlfriend like you in High School once. You know, always the "victim mentality" & SO much drama. Maybe "she" is "you" Purple? :D

Good day,
GJ

Flight attendant hiring?

Sure.

His wife is a successful business lady in the MSP area. They're the typical "nuclear" family with two kids, dog, & a white picket fence in north MSP.

He is now the Chief Pilot of a Fortune 100 Company, & is home every holiday, plus most weekends. Flies a G5 around the world, & although he may never have the "elite stays" of our very own Carl Spackler, he just doesn't see giving up the QOL he does have to come back to Delta.

To each their own. I personally can't fricken wait to get back!:)

Speaking of LA, in honor of our prestigious position leading all DAL categories in % of Red-eyes I have made a formal request to usurp the Army slogan, "We own the night."

Henceforth the slogan "We own the night!" is the official motto of the LAX 73N category.
