Me too. It is really depressing when I realize I'll hit mandatory retirement before I reach my new hire seniority number again. Also wondering when I'll reach my pre-merger seniority percentage again. On a good note, I'm back in the 4 digit range.

Just think-someday you'll be in the top 100 (out of 100). :D

Not only that but they have to write us a check every month to redress the decreased value of an airframe no longer in production. Plus engine and interior mods.

It's a sweet deal for sure.

Just surprised DAL would have been okay walking from it and kept all the 50 seaters if we had voted down the first offer on the TA.

My wife and I are planning a trip to Seattle over the July 4th holiday. (July 3rd - 5th)

Anyone have any suggestions of must places to go for eats, sightseeing, and/or great places to stay. Planning, of course, to run down to the Pike Place Market, but other than that, haven't ever been downtown Seattle. (Been to Ft. Lewis once, but would rather leave that experience in my past!) :D

Thanks for the reply.

I would highly recommend the brewery tour by Road Dogs. I talked the owner Dustin into offering a discount to crew members, so ask for him. They will pick you up in a van near Pike's. He asked what kind of beer we liked and which if any breweries we had already visited, and then tailored the tour based on what we told him.

If you do the Space Needle, I suggest seeing the Chihuly glass exhibit next door. The outdoor part of it was pretty neat. Looked like his glass sculptures were growing out of the ground.

From there we walked to a restaurant called Toulouse Petit, only 0.7 mi away. One of the best meals I ever had. We ordered small plates, tapas-style. Be sure to order the beignets.

Any restaurant by Tom Douglas is good, he has several in the area. We had breakfast at Lola's, which was fabulous.

Also consider the Seattle Bites Food Tour, a walking tour and a great way to get an overview of Pike's Market.
