Sorry to jump in Guys but I'm 100 pages behind and don't feel well today. Can one of my smart Brothers help me out? W/ an 80 hour reserve guarantee this month...will it cost me $ to call in sick for tomorrow's short call, or are we whole regardless? My decision has been made but the AngryPilotWife has questions. Cheers H...

If you have sick leave bank available, you should still get the 80 hour guarantee.

Not only that but they have to write us a check every month to redress the decreased value of an airframe no longer in production. Plus engine and interior mods.

If I remember right it's 100k per year per airplane, plus the lease rate is like half of what AT was paying for the jets. Our seat mile cost in the airplane has to be really low.

Does anyone know when/where the 717's actually start flying? I was bored, so I was checking travelnet for late Oct and I couldn't find a 717 on any of the city pairs I expected to see it.

Question on the rotation printouts... Does anyone know what "CP" means in front of a flight #? I know a "D" means deadhead, but how bout this one:
CP5831
It's a DH for sure because the trip printout shows it's time as DH time on that day on the next line... just wondering what the CP there, or sometimes it says "OO", what they mean?

On a similar "WT F does this schedule mean?" note, I noticed in the Jul wide reports some trips that have a "+" next to the layover on the last day; for instance, on a 4 day trip the layover cities on the top look like this:

JFK AUA JFK+

which I thought maybe meant it released a day later, say 0005 or something, but this trip releases at 1630ish.

Thanks for the schedule reading help ;)

It means your DH is on a compass flight.

I'm not a DL pilot, but it sounds like it is the carrier operating the flight. CP=Compass and OO=Skywest. That looks like a Compass flight number.

I'm not a 100% sure but that is what it sounds like.

It's a compass flight, CP is the airline code
CP 5831 is Msp to Msy I think

Don't quote me but what I was told by one of the 717 LCA was that they'd look at the DC9 schedule and swap a 717 on the route randomly. So if a 9 was going to BNA today they could pull it and put on a 717. But I don't understand how that works if the DC9 seats more than the 717, that'd mean bumping passengers. But that was what they explained while sitting on the js the other day.

Also he mentioned doing OEs via that already acquired 717. Old school training in the plane!

Although I think this was a LCA that couldn't actually hold 717 A? I'm not sure I understood what was going on there.
