Could be a close cousin though. The DNA seems to be similar.

Keep it in the family baby!

If these guys didn't trade paint with the runway, it's definitely about as close as you can go without doing so..

Holy smokes! I guess their "bounce recovery" policy isn't the same as Delta's! :D

I'm willing to bet Fifi was barking "Dual Input!" on that recovery.

Yep! Loved taking students up there.

Quincy was teh awesome. Did some training there way back in the day when the old gent ran the little school there. Great guy, and living in the mobile homes for $7/day was a hoot.

There was a place there called Lutons, that was the epitome of southern cuisine. You'd go in, and you'd order dinner by asking for one, two or three vegetables, and sweet or unsweet. Ordering an entrée didn't matter because you were having what they were making, and that was that.

The grass was indeed smoother than the runway.

I'm pretty sure the old gent was still there! I never got to Lutons... sure sounds awesome.

The runway must have been resurfaced by the time I started teaching because it was pretty dang smooth. I actually landed a seminole in there one time on the grass... it needed to be mowed. It was a bit strange seeing the prop tips touching the higher parts of grass. At least they got a free trim from us.
