What categories are over staffed? A CP just told a friend of mine Delta was going to hire in the fall. Two guys with the same title saying completely different things. Which leads me to believe CP's don't know. I am curious to see what categories you guys think are over staffed. Every Delta pilot I talk to says the opposite, Delta is under staffed.

Interesting. Who informs Tim whether someone is a "good candidate"?

I guessing he gets all his best advice from himself.

Personally, I'm not touching DPA with a 10 foot pole if TC is involved in any way, shape, or form. I found his communiques that deplorable.

Will,

I don't know about other categories but the LAX 737B is pretty fat right now. Mostly good reserve coverage every day.

Looks like the "30" day months in the Summer did the trick. Instant 3% productivity gain for all pilots, both line holders and reserve.

Like I said - I hope he was wrong.

Didn't the Crew Planning memo tell us to expect further 767/ER reductions?

The July Crew Resources System update says specifically that there is a "surplus of pilots system wide"

Seems pretty clear to me, but lots of people seem to think Delta is going to hire soon. Unfortunately, there is no documentation or announcements to support it.

Small number of AUG awards are out via the backdoor method. AUG 777/A ATL, SEA 330/A, SEA 76ER/A. 16:00 ATL

You know, on that note, I gotta ask...

We all love Led Zeppelin, but you could have just as easily named yourself Kashmir or Stairway to Heaven. I'm starting to think Ten Years Gone has a bit of a double meaning, no?

Yes.

But did Delta Meterology tell us to expect this?

I don't think so. That's why you can't trust memos.
