Or this gem:

All other Kitty Hawk expenses are paid from Kitty Hawk funds, not from ALPA dues."

So our dues money does or does not fund Kitty Hawk?

Your answer is within your own post. ALPA pays premiums to Kitty Hawk who provides coverage.

Just think of your own homeowner's insurance. Your insurer covers their own expenses from the premium you pay them.

We've heard numerous times about the failings of the Seeham firm.

I have seen first hand the failings of ALPA legal and/or their legal team.

This does not denote support of DPA. It's just the truth.

To me, ALPA provides better advertisement for the DPA, than the DPA does themselves. When I get a DPA email it is underwhelming. When I get an ALPA email I say to myself, we have got to get out of this organization.

Can you imagine, for one minute, if that had been our typical International 777 F/A crew, of 75-85 year old cat ranchers? Everyone would have died in the fire, because our Trolls would have been blocking the exits.

I was talking about this accident to a non-pilot businessman yesterday, he asked, "What is the mandatory retirement age for Flight Attendants?"

I laughed and then I pulled out my cell phone and showed him a picture of our Number One F/A, Bob, the 88 yr. old dead man walking. I explained how there IS NO MANDATORY RETIREMENT AGE FOR F/A's!

The guy was stunned. He couldn't believe we had F/A's still working at that age.

Where is the FAA when it comes to checking on the fitness of F/A's to do their jobs? They are only on board to EVACUATE the aircraft. Most of them can't even get out of their own way, after a smooth landing. Can you imagine if our typical 777 F/A crew survived this impact but then they had to evacuate the airplane?

I think the FAA really, really, needs to come up with some type of serious fitness test the F/A's should have to pass every year at recurrent training. Take a full body slam, then get up and help people get out of the airplane. Or at least make sure they can fit through an overwing exit without plugging it up! :D

There's a reason why they're called plug-type doors!

I found that rather entertaining as well. It's like 3 card monty. Try to confuse the masses with a little mis-direction

In order to continue the flow of 717 pilots through the training pipeline, an Advance Entitlement (AE) will be posted on Friday.* The bid will close at noon EDT on July 29th.* Crew Resources plans to post another AE in the late August or early September timeframe with 717 and 737 Captain and First Officer openings.

Sweet! Can't wait to get that coast-to-coast commute back after a crappy 4 day :(

Was on a layover this week and we waited 15 minutes for one of the FA's to hobble through the airport. She was in the top 100. Captain decides this is an issue and calls a few people to see what the deal is. The FAA requires that they be able to operate the door to provide an exit for passengers and provide verbal instructions for using that exit. They are not required to do anything else, just operate the door and yell at passengers. ????

Did you see the pictures of those 90 pound Asiana gals packing passengers on their backs? There is no question that if that airplane had old grannies on it, a few more wouldn't have made it. I know we have some of the best FA's in the industry, but we do have some that need to hang it up and knit some crap for their great grand kids.

The Asiana FAs were heroes.
