The company must have needed you in that position. Here is what the contract says:

A recalled pilot:
a. will return to an entry level position (or by mutual agreement between the pilot and the Company, to a position his seniority would entitle him to hold),
b. may be required to complete training for that position, and
c. will be entitled to bid and be awarded an advance entitlement(s) during training.

Agreed. What the company did was offer what is contained in the parentheses in a.

In fact, I originally chose SLC because I could hold a line but changed my mind to avoid the move/commute.

What's a company to do when it wants to be seen as thinking outside the box? Why go after the biggest money loser in technology in recent memory.

Microsoft's Surface sales figures are in, and they're ABSOLUTELY HIDEOUS

Is management looking at Best Buy for HD-DVD players as well?

They came close, but the attrition rate is so high at DCI right now, there is no need to furlough. In the future, it's now looking highly likely DCI will fall apart due to staffing difficulties.

They don't consider the drop for the recalled pilots as an AE do they?

So, I get they can give out a projected conversion date and then send you to training earlier and convert your earlier, but can they move your conversion back and if so, how far back can they make it go from the original projected? I don't see a limit other than the end of the posted date on the AE when all awards have to be converted.

No, I don't think they do. What is interesting is the contract says furlough recalls can bid an AE in training well.........what about and AE that comes out after training?

I agree completely. Having been there, Cav and I lived with that set of rules and recognized the fairness of it. Seniority needs to be honored, just like in other parts of our business.
