Early reports indicate the aircraft was a half mile short (on the North side) of runway 18. Perhaps a slight quartering tail wind with winds reported "variable." Non precision approaches to RWY 18; RNAV GPS & LOC available to 18. Condolences to family, friends and co-workers. |

Quick question, when do they put your pay back days onto your schedule. I'm in day two and they have nothing yet and I want to make sure I get the weekend off.

I believe you have to "Bid" those days under PCS in I Crew. That bid will be run with all others (WS, YS, PS, etc). They will not just show up on your schedule.
You can also "save" those days, add a few more, then bid all those days off. But you must use them before the end of the year (lesson I learned). Was bored, so I looked it up. And it's the thing I did a while back. I Crew - Schedules - PCS - Leave Requests - Payback Days * then click "Add/ Update Leave Request" at the bottom. |

Scoop,
I looked forward one page and didn't see this addressed, so here's my $0.02: You're making iaflyer's point (and mine): So what if the junior guy is at the end of the list at the end of the month? That would mean no one senior to him flew enough to get into bucket 2! So what if he's at the end of the list after only working 7 days???? That means the guys who didn't get into bucket 2 flew less or none. Does it really pain a senior guy that they may have to fly, but end up not flying? GG GG, First off, I don't think we are too far apart. I do not - repeat, do not want a system that enables the senior guy to routinely take a month off if the junior guy is working his butt off. I don't mind a system where the senior guy gets an easier month (RAW 15) and the junior guy gets an easy month (7 days working, bucket 2 from the above example). Are you saying its not fair that the senior guy gets a very easy month and the junior guy only gets an easy month? Secondly, I hope this will shortly become a mostly academic argument as continuous movement starts (after being stalled at the bottom half of the list for 12 years) and no one stays junior on reserve more than a month or two in the NB FO position, which is really the only positions system-wide where being junior is not a choice. Scoop :) |

Hey Buzz, can you TEVO the Tebow Show for me? :D
I've got to go to Dubai tonight so I'll miss the Pats-Bucks preseason game. I just want to see if Tebow can throw, and the Bucks have a new kid at sencond QB as well, I'd like to see what he's got. Should be interesting but I'll miss it. Friday night, 8pm east: Patriots host Buccaneers in 2013 Preseason home opener |
Out of curiosity Bar, or anyone, say an airplane pancakes into the runway or ground flat with the mains out, what kind of vertical speed descent rate would be fatal? I think airplanes have landed at 1600 fpm before?
