Is Delta keeping the AT registration on the 717? I shook hands Jimmy Carter once... Wait, I was strapped in, in the last row of coach, pretending I was invisible.

Anyone have experience with the Dish Network or DirecTV discounts on DeltaNet? We're currently using the local Cable TV/Internet provide, and coincidentally "FED UP" with the service at the same time. Just curious as to other people's experience with the satellite providers, and if you've used the Delta discounts on DeltaNet. Thanks, GJ |

Brakechatter, I think lots of guys and gals respect what you stand for and your support of all pilots. From one dude to another, you need to step back and take a breath. I know there's other things going on in your life that might bias your views today and it may be throwing you off kilter a bit. My two cents. I do notice that nobody really addresses how valid the points are, only the mistake--which was really a typo. No matter, obviously you think that you know me. I suppose that most folks on here do, including the dude asking if I ever wonder why I lost the election. The other point is that maybe there are other things going on in my life affecting my "judgement" No, I never wonder why I lost the election. It was very interesting- those results. If anybody is really interested, shoot me an email some time and I'll give you as much info as you want. As for the topic at hand, it really has nothing to do with it, a red herring if you will. The accuser used it, and I won't stoop to that level. What some don't seem to realize is that as a rep, your opinions submit to that of a majority. As an anonymous gangsta in cyber world, I get to defend my opinions. As to current events in my life, they are precisely why I am here on this board at this point in time. I have run the course of things I can do with the current limitations on me. Needless to say, stuck on an icepack for most of the day leaves a lot of free time, which most of the time is non-existent in my life. Although I appreciate the concern--I surely do. Now back to the topic at hand. Barbs do nothing to promote your cause guys. You are appealing to emotions that I do not have. Delta is the single premier airline with respect to pilots that commute, and I support that to the fullest extent. I support it because I have compassion for pilots who are not in the same shoes as I am, and have the experience to have walked in most of theirs to a certain extent. 5 airlines and a brief stint in the military will do that for you. That being said, my comments are spot on with sound logic--except for the incorrect one now corrected. When the remarks are largely ignored except for the hammering taken on the one slight misstep, you lose debate, and only exacerbate it by throwing out the barbs and the non-starters. I know it, and you should know it. If you don't know it, you are probably a big fan of DPA; in which case keep up the good work. I'll let gangstas anonymous get back to their griping now. I have seen the dissenter get pelted around here, and I think it's gutless. Barbs are tossed, and when thrown back the feeding frenzy starts. Not a good way to promote DPA, although they do just fine screwing themselves up. I want it to be known very clearly that i am a supporter of our commuters and the contractual protections we have put in place addressing the large commuting presence here at Delta. We've done enough, IMO, and it's time to put these issues to bed. You instruct your reps and I will instruct mine. CIAO, and good luck in your quest. |

Get one of your friends' account numbers, and you and he will get 10 bucks off for the next 10 months. Then after your discounts start falling off, just call and ask what their current promotions are, or start agitating about going back to cable. They will work with you. I think they're offering Season Ticket for free right now. |
