I say BRAVO!

Seems that the discussion of these terms should have been negotiated before temporary approval was granted by the MEC.

That's just me though.

Here's the problem with that Hockey. What good would it do to have remedies and consequences built into Section 1 when the company violates the current language at will, and DALPA gives them relief for the violation? Wouldn't DALPA just give them relief for the remedies and consequences if management asked? Maybe even without management asking?

By now it should be clear to everyone that we are now operating under the culture of Northwest Airlines...not the late great Delta Air Lines culture. As such, we need a fNWA type like Ken Watts to enforce every single word of the contract. EVERY SINGLE WORD. Unless and until we enforce every word in the same manner management enforces every word when it's in their interests to do so, then additional protective language will protect nothing.

Carl

I agree, Carl. Whatever happened to Ken? Did he retire? What an great knowledgeable guy.

Notice the dates on our "waiver". Gets the company through the summer.
How convenient.
Seems our MEC is scared of having too much leverage.

I'm going to say this again. Bar, you are a good man and I like you (not in a man crush way...just as a person) but you are deeply conflicted in your allegiance to an organization that doesn't represent you very well. Oh btw I am going to egg your house and steal your car....you can thank me now for communicating my intentions giving you the opportunity to chime in and be represented:rolleyes:

Leverage is only required when going against an opponent. DALPA is not an opponent to management, they (we) are a partner with management. That's the experiment we're all in today. We're in a union with "new style" leaders.

Jack, I'm pretty sure Bar was being sarcastic here but forgot to put the sarcastic smiley there. I'm right on this...aren't I Bar?

I just wrote my reps regarding our scope opportunities........ Don't think they will like my letter too much though.

Nothing like when we're out of reserves and a guy white slips.... Brilliant!
