Not sure I agree. There maybe a pilot that needs money and if Jr the greenies never get that low!!! Until they union says stop flying why should the Jr guy give up income so a senior guy can by a BMW bike??

Just play devils advocate.....

Sounds like a senior M88B who doesn't believe he's going to get his #2 GS.

Agreed! A WS for a junior guy vs. a GS for a senior guy. No brainer. I'm a junior line holder and have NEVER received a GS in my category in 5 years. If I need to, I'll WS the hell out of a trip.

What about a senior guy WSing? :) That's what I was talking about.

Again, this is too blanket a statement. Reference my earlier tale of a senior guy I flew with who would drop his line to ZERO, then pick up a couple of GS early in the month, then WS the remainder of the month, always easy turns or two day trips. You could be -50 on the reserve numbers and it would still make sense for this guy to WS.

You can't just see one thing and make a firm conclusion as to whether or not it was a good idea.

Well, that's their prerogative. I'm fine with that. A reserve guy in another base didn't get used and was paid to stay home. GS's are such a wild card, especially in the smaller bases. I don't have a problem with guys picking up whites. It's the way our system is structured, for better or worse.

The real abuse continues to be "Swap with Friends." That's a horrible idea.
