It sure would make sense. Our company seems to have an aversion to letting MD products get too close to where they were made, though.

It makes sense if we're going to take back some of the AK and RJ feed.

That's the way it was ever since I got on International. I don't know about the 767 school now but it was that way in the time frame you're talking about.

The footprint is the same, as far as I know.

I bet once the 767 domestic shuts its doors that they redo the footprint for a universal ER "product."

After my last CQ the instructor was driving me to the airport and another instructor tagged along to join him for breakfast. They were discussing how ridiculous the new 7ER program is. Apparently it's crammed into ONE(or maybe 2) sim session(s) now and is no longer done at the end of the program. No day in the classroom discussing WWOs. This was over 6 months ago though. Maybe they reverted back to the 4 day course, which is what I went through in Feb 12.

When I went through in Feb 10 it was one sim and one really long, incredibly boring classroom day. I was hungover, so it may have seemed longer than it actually was.

When I went through it was one classroom day of WWO, one FTD, and one full sim. Not sure if it's different now but I seem to remember the instructor mentioning that there were some changes to the footprint coming.

That's a shame. I guess they are afraid the airplane is going to run home and tell on them. :D

It's not. All that stuff was just rumors started by senior people angry that junior guys were getting the widebodies out of seniority...

Sort of like the rumor started by some senior FOs that a new junior 767 AQFO had written up a captain for reading a newspaper. Too bad that AQFO had never even met or flown with said captain until a year or so after the fact. Nevertheless, like a bunch of gossipy high school girls, they continued spreading it until it finally got back to the AQFO. Took him a good while to chase that one down and nip it in the bud...

Both rumors being false, why even bring them up?

THAT would be welcome news.

Now, cue the Alaska guy who comes on here all the time to tell us it will never happen. (I forgot his name.) :o

Looks like to dispel them. :)
