I'm not sure complaining this loudly was a very smart move by management. In fact, it seems like a pretty big mistake since we are an industry and company so tightly controlled by the government. I hope Delta doesn't need any favorable rulings from the Obama administration for a while. |

How else will they draw attention to the problem? I'm glad they did this. We need more businesses to follow suit. Stop whining about how this administration sucks and do something about it. Go RA!

It should be, in the words of Attorney Ken Nugent, "one call that's all," without fear of falling into some spurious factor that triggers the company's "good faith basis." All due respect, this section of the contract is a lemon. You really shouldn't try to defend it. However, it will have the desired impact for the company...less sick calls. If this wasn't the intent negotiated then fight now. Grieve it yesterday and same goes for scope when we are out of compliance. I don't want just money. I want compliance and a penalty for time out of compliance. The contract is only as good as ALPA's willingness and ability to enforce it. We have paid excellent money for substandard language.

As far as the notion of a single payer system I don't think that's true... Oh wait... Harry Reid says Obamacare will lead to single-payer system Okay so who is ready to give up pay and scope to keep healthcare? |
