You'd better or A&M is gonna take away what's left of your program. If Manziel ever grows up, he has the ability to turn that team into a powerhouse recruiting wise. If I were Mack Brown and the TU (real UT is in Knoxville) A/D, I'd be worried. TV package or not, the talent in Texas is gonna want to go to the SEC to win National Championships, and if they can do it and stay home they won't have to go to Alabama.....

True that. I especially enjoy the synergy that is vacuum cleaners + power tools in the floor above + people speaking very loudly in languages I can't understand followed by the very loud knock on the door while "Do Not Disturb" is flashing from the door knob.
Instead, it smacks the safety latch: Bang! (and then as it rebounds several times) bang, bang, bang. Guaranteed to wake you up if nearby! The concept of putting a towel on the floor in front of the door jamb, while equally effective, seems to elude housekeepers... |

As far as UTenn - you're a Delta pilot on a Delta thread, and I'm merely an applicant. I've got enough SA to avoid saying what I'd like to say. That said, if I'm ever fortunate enough to be hired by you guys, I'll be more than happy to sing "Rocky Top" at the crew room of your choice. :)

That's a lot more airplane than just a 320... and a lot more airplane than a 739. More comfy in the front and back, too. :)

We're Texas. I don't get too worked up about our little brother out in College Station. Spend some time on their campus and you'll see what I mean.

No need for that! There's enough Texans around for you to simply flash some horns and give a hearty "hook-em"!!!

I don't believe it. Had they truly flown together I'd see a picture of that cockpit in the quarterly training CD.

Widget,
I won't say I know either woman. But, I do know one of them enough to speak to her in passing and had a conversation with her a while back. I can tell you that from the little I know about her, there is a lot in your post that is untrue. I've seen her flying the line numerous times since we first talked. I've seen her in the school house when she was transitioning to another airplane. I even talked to her captain while she was there and he said she was doing a great job. Just a bit of advice. If I were you, I would delete that post. Even though you haven't mentioned names, the people are easily identifiable, and you are disparaging their professional reputation. They could easily come after you for liable and possibly the training guy for slander. I doubt that they would, and I'm not sure that they would win anything significant, but why open yourself to that possibility? |

You're thinking of the first generation A321s, which were slugs.
The newer 321s (not NEO) have a much higher max takeoff weight than the 737-900 at 206,000 (39,000 lbs higher than the A320, 19,000 lbs higher than the 737-900ER) and can hold up to 53,000 lbs of fuel. Also engines are uprated to 33,000 lbs of thrust. That's a lot more airplane than just a 320... and a lot more airplane than a 739. More comfy in the front and back, too. :) TEN |
I agree with newKnow. That is a very personal attack on a very public message board. I also know one of the women and she definitely flying the line currently so not only do I know your post is completely incorrect, I really hope she doesn't see it because it is highly offensive and on top of her being a fellow Delta pilot that worked her butt off to get to where she is, she is also a really nice person and doesn't deserve vicious rumors to be spread about her.
