Latest IOE Domestic drama

Hi all,
A quick Q re domestic IOE recovery rules for the pilot being replaced. Will I be released, or do I need to prepare for 4 days of tagging along on the JS watching my dedicated fellow professionals in action?

But wait! I thought with the concessions in C2012 all the reserve guys were gonna fly 99 hours in the summer months!

The full pain of ALV+15 won't be felt for another summer or maybe two--although plenty of folks have felt it already. The company still needs to "right size" the pilot group after our efficiency concessions. And good luck getting this genie back in the bottle in future negotiations.

But you knew all that.

No one is celebrating, and frankly, allowing reserves to fly to ALV+15 was perhaps, imo, the biggest concession we gave in C2012. Having said that, all the fear mongerers who said reserves are gonna fly 99 hours every month have been proven wrong..... again.

unless you're seeing the internal data there isn't a way to know looking at the res availability list though. scoop asked abo it what we could see. a lack of res piko

Going with hyperbole is not a winning strategy. I don't recall anyone saying everyone was going to fly 99 hours every month. I do remember hearing the claim you could fly up to 99 hours as a result of giving that staff-saving measure. You do have people flying their @rses off because of that concession. Why we gave them something like that with record profits, I'll never know.

Any guesses on when we'll see the next AE. Did it change from late Aug / early Sep?

Oops, Thought Delta.com would be updated and show the updated aircraft types, but guess not.

You bring the Toast, I've got the Jam ....

Any and every musician needs to see this in the theater before it is gone. Jump to three minutes in ...

Or for a better taste ....

The Stones are an impossible band to cover well, her vocals are a big part of that sound. This movie goes through the two women who have sung that part, they are both ... well words are inadequate. Sting, Bruce Springsteen, Luther Vandross, Stevie Wonder, Elton John, Ray Charles, Tina Turner, Michael Jackson, Sheryl Crow, and most of the Disney films pulled their vocals from a very small community who's work is uniquely covered here. Best movie I've seen in quite a while.

I just reviewed the distribution of flying and SCs in our category and once again it looks pretty good. Pilots in red are in RAW bucket 2.

Seniority RAW SCs
81XX 27 3
83XX 73 2
83XX 93 3
88XX 90 4
95XX 44 4
98XX 88 5
98XX 91 0
99XX 59 5
102XX 64 4
104XX 89 2
110XX 71 3
111XX 73 2

I have done this about 4 times in off months and in the summer. Every time it has shown a pretty good distribution of flying.

Like I said before - if the system is unduly burdensome on the junior Pilots - lets fix it. But with numbers like this, I think it will be hard to justify changing the system.

I am sure that guys out there are getting hosed on an individual basis - but I don't think its systematic. I would like to see some other guys post their categories if it shows the junior guys getting hosed - I have not seen it.

Scoop

I am in the MSP 7ERB category and flew every day but one that I was available for call. Two days from the end of my last day of call, on the day I returned from a 5-day international trip, I had a raw score of 159, the highest raw score of three pages of people on reserve with 2 days left on call, and I got put on short call because I was junior and raw score is not taken into account. Of course I had no short call days completed because I flew every day. I for one believe that the raw score should be taken into account in determining short call...
