Look on the flight ops page of deltanet. On the bottom right corner, you will see a link from the fall base visit. There is a presentation from the crew resource manager who confirms the 600 per year.

They must have removed the doc or video. All I get when I go to the link is a page that says Fall Base Visit, no information or links.

I was non-reving in the back of one when on descent the Capt. made a PA to the effect that they were going to reverse the inboards, so don't be alarmed by that sound or the steep deck angle!

Nice find 80K!

Now...if I could just get my 4 kids off my payroll, maybe I could sell my house and buy that to live in! I could never afford to put gas in it, or the mx, but it would be a great bachelor pad, once the wife leaves me!:D

You couldn't use speed brakes in flight because it was like completely removing what little wing there was. The Douglas fix for the need of increased descent performance was to allow inboard engine thrust reverse in flight. You were limited to 1.4 EPR of inflight reverse thrust.

Usually the FWD closet on the -700 & -800. The -900 has a closet behind first class. The captain usually takes the cockpit storage, unless he too has an international and he'll say, "You put your bag up front and I'll use the closet."

So, it depends. 95-99% of the time you'll be OK with the international bag in the closet.

Also, I'm not sure, but if there is only one bag upfront, you might be able to get an international up there. Might be too long, I've never seen/tried it.

Serious. The other seldom discussed but equally damaging effect is how we sit in the seats.

The FO sits twisted to their left, the captain to the right as we sit on the flight deck for hours in conversation.

Destabilizes the lower back and neck making them more vulnerable to injury.

Just imagine what this is doing to poor Johnso29's back!

I just hope she's wearing underpants this time, because it got pretty ugly in practice when he dropped her on his face, twice! Or maybe he dropped her on purpose??

For that 2% of the time when you store your bag up front, the intl bag is fine. I wouldn't go buy another bag.

Does Delta insurance cover for whatever is about to happen?

Again hearsay.

Spreadsheets, documents, published findings?

What you have provided is anecdotal in nature.

Another reason why the old forum was actually useful and served a purpose

It quickly highlighted and drew attention to issues of concern

Try again.

You mean just like your findings of those who are dissatisfied with an ATL FO rep?

Debating facts with you is a waste of keystrokes.

IOW, you can't or you don't want to take the time. And it's ok to sling names at those who support DALPA. But it's not ok to do the same to those who support DPA. Gotcha.

This aircraft was one of United's -62's.
