I wonder if that's one of Delta's old DC8's? Did you know that after they put those big motors on them, they would actually put them in reverse in flight, on descent!
I was non-reving in the back of one when on descent the Capt. made a PA to the effect that they were going to reverse the inboards, so don't be alarmed by that sound or the steep deck angle! Nice find 80K! Now...if I could just get my 4 kids off my payroll, maybe I could sell my house and buy that to live in! I could never afford to put gas in it, or the mx, but it would be a great bachelor pad, once the wife leaves me!:D Here's one for buzzpat: :D LiveLeak.com - Incredible Close Call and Go Around For Turkish Boeing 737-900 at Malaga AGP |

The Seahawks look good! The defense looked awesome. I did their charter earlier this year and I can say they looked like a class act.
Congrats, Denny! :D If they do get home field advantage thru the playoffs, they are going to be very hard to beat. I'm looking forward to the 49'ers game next week!:) Denny |
Roadkill,
I appreciate your concern and advice  Truthfully, it was just easier to type she was a friend. It is not anyone I'm involved with, it is a buddies girlfriend.

Sorry NERD... you need to back away and stay out of this. The father will have gotten briefings on his options. The divorce will have stated what rights the mother and child have to the retiree's income and retirement benefits--and it may very well be zero!
Point your friend towards the GI bill, which is the benefits you speak of, tell her to start googling, and back thou away slowly and carefully. I also recommend you not get between a female grizzly and her cubs... I normally don't feel this is advice I need to give, but maybe you need it ;) |

Debating facts with you is a waste of keystrokes.
Both sides are entrenched in their beliefs and the whole sordid affair has degenerated into nothing more than childish behavior for both camps. Do you really believe that you and Carl are changing minds on this forum? The same question can be asked of the DALPA crowd. |

I don't care what anyone says, that is some funny stuff there. And yes, I do support ALPA...begrudgingly. Ref: Cheerleader pic. |

Funny you bring that up!! A little birdy had to do an acceptance flight on 2 717's Thanksgiving day so we could write the check to SWA and "own" the aircraft. They were them on our list this keeping them in compliance with the scope agreement.
The 717's were still in full AirTran garb in and out and were actually flown by Airtran pilots but as soon as the flight was done and the check written DAL was in compliance with the scope clause! Jets are real and owned by DAL but they aren't even close to being on line. |

I wonder how many green slips Carl and Timbo need to do in order to partake in this bit of Douglas awesomeness:
http://www.jetaviation.com/code/modu...PDFs/dc8_1.pdf I think Bar just passed out twitching upon seeing that. ;) http://www.mrprophead.com/MilAir/dc8FE.jpg Bar is just jealous of that pure Douglas engineering awesomeness! Carl |
