Hey, ATL wx question-- I see we're expecting WX on 12th. My folks were supposed to nonrev through there on the 12th. I'm working on them travelling on 11th... where's the best place to go for info on what Delta is up to for cancellations etc? I've looked at Delta.com, nonrev alerts on travelnet, and all I see is a blurb saying "snowstorm at ATL (etc.) will affect travel 11-13 Feb. We'll cover rebookings..." basically.

Need some ATL WX irop experience help! What flights does Delta usually cancel when these IROPS happen, I've never really paid attention as I've been working and my flts went. Just the ones that transit ATL yes? If they travel from RSW > MSP > PHX, they shouldn't see any cancelled flights, correct?
Thx

There is a new announcement on Deltanet about increased Seattle service. A lot of it is RJ stuff, but looks like increased service to HNL and ANC with mainline.

Isn't that West Coast stuff? Doesn't Delta not serve the west coast... Buzz - help us out. Isn't all the West Coast flying TO the East coast, on East Coaster's schedules? :)

Here's what it is with the equipment from the Delta press release:

Delta's new Seattle service beginning Dec. 20, 2014 includes:
  • Five daily flights to Phoenix (76 Seater)
  • One daily seasonal flight to Palm Springs, Calif. (76 Seater)
  • Saturday seasonal service to Tucson, Ariz. (76 Seater)
  • Saturday seasonal service to Jackson Hole, Wyo. (65? Seater)
  • One additional nonstop flight to Honolulu for a total of two daily flights (757)
Expanded seasonal service beginning in September includes:
  • One new daily nonstop flight to Anchorage, Alaska for a total of two daily flights in September and three daily flights during the summer(737)

Delta to offer nonstop service from Seattle to Palm Springs, Phoenix, Tucson, Jackson Hole - Feb 10, 2014

Flights travelling around ATL should mostly be unaffected, however, equipment could get stuck in ATL. Also, keep in mind that DAL will re-book passengers around ATL as well.

Please take notes and report to those of us so junior we don't work - we just sit on Res waiting to be ping-ponged from LC to SC.
