Yup! cni's point was spot on though. I got on the employee bus the other day and counted 19 people. 17 of them were playing angry birds or surfing porn, or something. Kind of scary actually. I recently heard a story about a guy that got on the (subway I believe in NY), pulled out a gun and nobody noticed until he shot somebody.

was it porn or apcf?

but T flip phones cost more than smartphones, I found this out with my inlaws. at&t has 13 smartphones for under a dollar, if you want a flip phone the worst is $19 all the way to $99.

and it's easier to talk trash on here with sandy phone.

One glaring problem here....How is the company supposed to inverse assign a pop up trip once short call pilots have run out?

Acknowledging acceptance of a trip assignment inside of that 10 hour prospective rest period constitutes non-compliance with FAR 117 according to the company. So, basically once crew scheduling has run out of short call pilots and cannot find a suitable reroute pilot they are up paddle creek without a sh!t.

Hey, where's all the discussion on THIS I just got from ALPA:

"At a special meeting of the Delta Master Executive Council of the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA), members elected Capt. Mike Donatelli as Chairman of the Delta MEC. Captain Donatelli’s term will begin immediately continuing until December 31, 2014."

Who is this guy, please tell me it's not someone we see posting here often...comments?

As far as I know he's not posting on here (ie NOT slowplay as some have suggested would happen.)

I don't know him personally, but all indications point towards this being a good thing.

From Chicago, I believe. Smart fellow, good guy too. Been involved with ALPA for a long time. Probably a stepping stone for National office. Definitely experienced enough to do the job, but I just don't know his politics.

Hey I admit it. I am an anachronism. My phone is paid for and I use a service that I pay for by the minute. I RARELY use more than about $10/month. I would like to delve into the smartphone world, but the contracts and monthly cost blow me away... I can make a slip payment for my sailboat (which I don't have either).

What's a sandy phone? handy?? :D

As I understand it, short notice slips (green, white, yellow) will still be legal since they are volunteer in nature - by putting in a slip, the pilot is taking responsibility for being rested, etc. Short notice IA's will be a thing of the past.
