Fire away.

Is that your horn to announce Kiffin is back at Alabama? Layla too.

In other news, speaking of horns, I didn't know you could drop $700 or so and get a train horn installed on your truck. How awesome for when that person goes full speed to cut you off as two lanes become one. Even better, just blow it as you cross the railroad track, or better yet, aim it at a passing train and blow it. Freak that guy out.

That being said, we've been doing this long enough to where we know what food is available at each airport and can strategically plan. I'm a big fan of the burrito placeswe have in ATL because you can make it a bowl and make it into a reasonably healthy salad sort of thing that will tide you over a longer time.

I can't remember the last time I got a big mac or something similar... I might get some chicken nuggets, but I feel like crap after I get a big mac... not the condition I want to be flying in.

Why you getting a salad? A taco salad? Like the Bud Light commercials said, congratulations, you just managed to cram 12,000 calories into a salad. Is it healthy? Sure, it's a salad! So go on you Conquistador of the Calorie, eat that salad... between legs.

I don't know what we did in East Tennessee to deserve this Karma, but this guy now gets to kick us yet again in the pills... He didn't become a hated man in the VolNation until he left in the middle of the night, and NOW he goes and works for Saban.... He was actually pretty well liked for a period of time because in the spring the ESPN bubbas were talking about Tennessee football when we weren't close to being relevant. Now this.... Sucks.

Oh, and the klaxxon was for those that have gone into high warble already over some of this stuff... Good grief guys, wind your watch, and run the procedure. You know what is right, and the remedy for this stuff. Whining about it on an anonymous webboard won't do a damned thing to fix any of this....

NOW fire away.

You may end up with the 3rd best recruiting class. Who says it has to suck anymore. :o

Because the entire Offensive and Defensive lines were seniors.... We will be LUCKY to finish 5-7 next year..... LUCKY.

Oh, and did I mention that we play Oklahoma in Normal next year too?

What Flightline or PerDiem does is quickly go through your past schedules and figured out where you stayed the night. Then it figures how much you got, how much you are allowed and gives you the difference. ALL that information IS available to you to do yourself, I just like that another company is there to do it for me and save me the time. The company COULD cut the accessibility to these third party companies for security reasons, and say do it yourself, I don't think we would appreciate that.

Also don't the FAs get meals if their duty day (or total block) is over 8 hrs? One told me that and I wasn't sure if that was true or not, was on one of those west coast turns.

It's not our employers responsibility (or business) to interfere with our taxes. Technically, the IRS allows you maintain your own log and account for your expenses. Receipts are only required over $75. I had a random audit 2 years ago. I have an accountant (very very good). I use a spreadsheet and link each cell to the State Dept per-diem rate for each city. I scanned every transaction and kept it hyperlinked to each cell for each day of business. My accountant thinks I'm obsessive so he says it's ok for me to meet with IRS. The agent starts with a random set of questions (not a targeted audit) and we start working thru my business expenses. I'm actually confident because everything is hyperlinked and scanned. My accounting is flawless. But...the agent really wants a log from my employer. I reply that DAL doesn't provide one but I maintain a log which suffices. They don't care. In the end I purchased a log from Flightline and the IRS was fine with it. Ironically the Flightline product was more gracious in their accounting than my sharp pencil.

Haha! Sometimes I feel like that... but you can make those things pretty healthy. Rice, beans, chicken, plenty of lettuce, and tomatoes/salsa and go easy on the cheese and it's not a bad meal compared to, say, checkers.

And it's a salad. And it's 9000 calories. Therefore: I automatically get skinnier. No backdooring for at least 8 hours though.

...and I'm loving the company getting over optimistic on flying us close to 9 hours. I just got my second green slip with both of them due to the 9 hour rule. Them trying to save a few bucks doing that has paid me 2500 dollars over guarantee this month already!

LOL omg LOVE it! :D:D:D

I just use a spreadsheet as well for my per-diem as well. I update it once a month then at the end of the year it's just done. Probably takes less than 10 minutes at the hotel. Anyways what I do for a log is when I'm updating the spreadsheet I copy and paste the icrew rotations into a word document. That's my log/substantiation.
