Hmmmmm DAL hiring... a bunch this year. (I won't disclose the number I have heard on this website) UAL hiring a bunch. AAL hiring a bunch.... And retirements kicking in pretty strongly. yeah, shrink is the word I should have used.

And I have no idea who your comment about "having millions" was supposed to impress. Justin Bieber has millions too...

Someone who only seems to be concerned about money. Bieber was paid only a small fraction of the money he has brought in, so he is one hell of a fool.

Ludicrous assertion.

Okay, an SLI -Other than a staple - would cause what positive outcome - for ALPA?

The problem comes form what happens when the NMB sides with DALPA, yes, there then becomes more mouths to feed at the table. But, this is about restoring the profession for all those poor souls that won't be lucky enough, or well connected enough, to get on with the ever shrinking mainlines, where viable careers are found.

If all you want is bigger contract gains, then I see no point in even having this discussion, because you might as well just sell more contract items, everything is for sale. However, take it from me, someone who has millions of dollars, money isn't everything, you just exchange one set of problems for a new set of problems.

I'm sorry Mesabah; but unless you have a Delta ID and a seniority number, you're not a Delta pilot..regardless of what your paycheck says.

Anybody familiar with the vacation move-up process? I need to move a week next January. I know I can probably slide it on my bid, but I need to get it moved now so I can make some solid plans. I thought I had it figured out and submitted a move-up bid, but haven't seen anything happen.

Vacation moveups bidding closes on the 1st of each month at 0800 and is awarded by 1800 on the 4th (eastern time). Just to let you know, last year I had vacation moveups in for many months for November and December. I was awarded them but not until the last possible month to get them. Good luck. Just because you don't get it immediately doesn't mean you won't get it eventually.

Why would we (express carriers) get anything but stapled? Bottom of the list like your SSP guys and our flow guys. Flying an RJ with a Delta sticker on the side for any amount of time doesn't earn you longevity and/or seniority at Delta or any other major.

Mine is blue also...whose jobs are shrinking? Hiring on the left, hiring on the right. The dark storm clouds were passing over mainline for years now. Starting to lighten up a bit. Are you employable at a mainline? If so, you should be giddy.

I dunno, but I highly doubt it would "bankrupt" them.
