We did hire some scabs. We also hired some strikers until RA stopped it.

Based on my research, we only have one scab on the property (according to the master scab list). He scabbed PAA, not eastern. So he was "acquired not hired."

Additionally, as far as I can tell, there was only one other scab on the DAL list and he's gone now. So please show your work.

You are wrong, but I'm not going to get in a piffing match with you about it. DAL hired no scabs, period, end of story. Scambo is correct about the PAA guy, and the other guy was was from WAL.

Oh, that's right they invited them into ALPA.

That sounds to me like something an independent union might be able to do though.
If you want to see one go check out the Tool of the Day thread, go back a couple pages.

He's now a "Professor" at UVU. He wears his uniform to class and he wears an ALPA lanyard!

Rode one of ours with the boxes last may from bcn to atl (ours were at the window seats and the center aisle seats)... thought I was going to die! How any one could put these on an oceanic airplane is beyond crazy! Absolutely zero leg room!

Airline unionism is done... unless... leadership arises that is willing to go outside the rla and spend a short time in jail (and if done correctly, it would be very short) Lech Walesa style.

For you youngsters, it's known as an SOS... but since it hasn't happened in the most egregious times, starting at least with the USair pension grab, I doubt it will ever be used.

Until that day, we will get scraps... period.

I've been following that thread.

However, I wrote what I wrote because there is such disconnected dichotomy in so much of what T writes. He loves to use the term non sequitur, but his own brain has him thinking in non sequiturs.

We go to war with the military (union) we have, not the one we wish we had. Our union has demonstrated that it was trained by the French and not by the USMC.

That's it in a nutshell. As I've said many times here, nobody at National wants to rock the boat. You want to know why?

Isn't DuhWayne Worthless an Industry Lobbyist now?

And Randy Babbit had a Government job for awhile too...

An SOS should have happened long before the US Air pension grab. ALPA should have protected the CAL pilots jobs when they went on strike in 1983, and the EAL pilots jobs in 1989, when they stood up to Frank Lorenzo.

But, Frank Lorenzo was a Houston business man, and one of his good friends was (and still is) George Bush Sr.

They will never do anything like that. But its not because they're afraid of jail. Its because the permanent bureaucracy up there in Herndon will NEVER do anything to risk the Major Contingency Fund.

I've said it before -- that MCF is nothing but bad news. ALPA's golden handcuffs. It should be refunded to the members.
