Rerouted to release later than 4 hours from original sched OR same day, whichever later, AND not for a reason beyond the company's control(airport closed, mx on your a/c, weather) = reroute pay. Some exceptions I'm sure....
This needs to change. Any re-route (other than wx or mx) outside your original footprint should trigger RR pay. |

Anyone have someone that they'd recommend for air crew taxes in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area? Thanks.

The last two of these they have made me show at the airport before releasing me. The discussion points were (1) Delta's paying him, so make him show and (2) what if something goes wrong with IOE.
It was a little aggravating to fight two hours of rush hour traffic to get in, but even more so if you had to commute in .... They shouldn't have. Were they IOE's or airport quals, there is a difference with the release. IOE is suppose to be release at 1900 the night before. Airport quals you may or may not be released depending on if the LCA thinks you would benefit from the experience. If you look in the contract it actually says it is the LCA that has the authority to release you. Of course in the real world we know it's crew scheduling that gives you the call as long as the LCA doesn't say otherwise. We had one LCA having guys commute in to be released in NYC. I called the union and they said that is not what we have established as common practice but he can do that. I said ok no problem I agree with you that it says that the LCA can release me so I commuted up to be released. The next time I had an LCA giving an IOE, and I knew this LCA pretty well, I called him and asked to be released in the morning. He said sure because he knew that the guy he was training was already in position. I called scheduling and told them that I'd been released. Scheduling of course said that they would do it at 1900 and the fun started from there. Long story short they can't have it both ways. |

Any one know a great realtor that could help us find a rental house and good school district in Orange County, CA?
We like the Laguna and San Clemente areas the best so far, but are open to others (including San Diego County). Pm me, if you like. Thanks. PM Sent. Scoop |
