Sounds like a sure fire way to end up in cuffs and a rubber jacket.

What if we tried something like a tourettes blurt out "APC!"

And if the guy responds in kind, you're good to go.

Anyone know how it works for international flights when coach is oversold? I'm looking at non-revving on a flight where coach is -12, but first is showing 5. No non-revs listed.....

Nonrevs won't make it. 5 / -12 means seven rev's aren't going either. The back will have DM/PM pulled up to the front when there is overbooking like that.

It's measured in rolling minutes, based on pilot base time.

Thanks Alan. I eventually figured it out. Only, unfortunately, it became a moot point. While I was figuring out one angle I got blindsided with a 2 X 4.

Pretty sure we have a official hand gesture now. Just throw up "the shocker" sign and say " what up". Either you get turned in to pro-stans or the chief pilot or the give you the return.

One of the funniest things I've ever seen (at another airline) was to strategically place another pilot's flight bag in front of the CPO ... then walk by giving the Chief Pilot the shocker ... only to watch him come running out of his office and fall over the strategically placed flight bag, get back to his feet and throw said flight bag across the crew room while yelling.

Capt. Anduze, miss you brother.

Go figure. Folks walk up to me and say "you're Bucking Bar."

"Dude" is preferred.

In case anyone missed it, an American Captain reviewed the RAM Mount that Delta is going to use for it's EFB. This is a must watch product review.
