Now, what does that all mean?

The associated Fly for EVEN Less fare has the wording "This ticket is non-refundable" under it, which implies that the Fly Confirmed for Less fare would be refundable. You certainly can't read the above and verify that.

If you read the fine print, the words purple drank are in there. What does that mean?

It means he plays a lawyer on TV and wrote that mess:D

I was thinking about using a fly for less ticket for our next cruise........now not so much. Looks like USAir will get my biz again.

Egg-zactly. I was caught in this mess last year. The wording is very deceiving. The only way to know if it's non-refundable is to call. Also, we are not exempt from the $150 change fee, and if you change the reservation on Travelnet, you won't be notified that the new (increased) fare is due to a change fee.

Short answer-- DON'T USE THEM! They are NOT REFUNDABLE. One of the two of them implies it MAY be refundable depending on the fare rules. I spent 20 min buying some, going over fare rules to ensure I was getting refundable ones.
Two months later, they wouldn't refund them, every person I talked to told me flat out NEITHER was refundable, and I had my non-rev privileges threatened when I asked agent to actually LOOK at the ticket fare rules I had printed out with the tickets showing it WAS refundable.

I've never been as mad at the company as I was then... don't try to save that bogus 10%, it's a scam and you can't trust them-- you don't even get to go through a normal agent, they are all "special reservations" agents for travelnet who basically are in place to stiff arm and threaten you.

Sounds harsh I know, but after going to soooo much effort to ensure I bought refundable tickets, getting $4000 stolen from me administratively by the company taught me my lesson. Now I no longer try to purchase tickets on Delta to help the cause.

I had a PanAm engineer, previous National. He had to do an engine change at an outlying station. He trashed his uniform shirt doing it. He asked National for a replacement shirt. Management told him that he should have worn overalls. They refused the reimbursement.

By the time he was done it was one incredibly expensive shirt. It never ceases to amaze me how stupid managers can be.

16 hour long call would really benefit guys that are stuck commuting to reserve.

This is very doable, especially if scheduling are given the resources to assign all the following trips by 8 am Mecca time the day prior. When they get behind and wait unti 4 pm to assign SC and trips, we all get the short end of the stick. But in order to give the company this option, how about we get our seventh short call back? Make it six, like it should have been all along.

Drank;1626249]Once you upgrade...another 5 minutes of two-engine taxi or 10 minutes of early APU start on every flight for the remainder of your career should put a dent in their $4000.

You might not have the money...but neither will they. :D

Wow - at least you're consistant...stick it to the man. If you can't have it, nobody can, right?

Okay, fair enough. Thanks for the answer.

What's your take on the allegation that the ATL CPO has been telling pilots that the terms of 117 have already been agreed to and that there were just a few items outstanding?

Do your sources indicate a deal is likely or not likely?

I am told that as mentioned we are in the end game and would have a agreement or terminate negotiations shortly. No idea of which way it will go.
