Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Fyi my check airman told me I could book it and I did. I am not a new hire though. This was just last week.
I ended up on a southwest flight instead but that is my info.

If your OE starts with a deadhead segment you can deviate the DH and book PS up to 14 days prior like any other DH. You can also once you have signed in for the trip book a return flight if the OE ends with a DH. If the trip starts or ends in your base it's just like any other trip. You're on your own.

A few years ago, there was a memo or guide sent out that said we are not allowed positive space for OE. Northwest allowed it. The memo was sent out telling us that Delta does no approve, and it told us to stop doing it.

Yes. It was considered training. I think this is why the memo came out after the merger. All the former NWA pilots, myself incuded, were booking space positiver for OE. Once I found out I was not supposed to, I stopped.
