Not to break up the discussion, but due to a large object impacting the aircraft I am spending an extra night out. So I am RSV this month and I am curious about the reroute pay and day off. Do I get a payback day for tomorrow? My card is showing ReRoute pay but it sounds like according to 23.21.L RSV pilots don't get reroute pay for Maint or WX issues.

The rules for reroute pay are the same for regular and reserve, except that a reserve pilot does not get reroute pay if he is rerouted into additional on-call days. If you're having to lay over because your aircraft is INOP, there is likely no reroute pay due. Any interrupted X-days will, however, be moved so as to begin nine (13 for an ocean crossing operation) after your release from the trip. (23 S. 13.)

Denver commuters

I'm headed off to Indoc in a couple weeks and would love to bend the ear of a Denver commuter to make my bid when I get there. Please PM me if you have a moment!

Thanks!

Ok I see that now. So my X day will be restored, but still not clear on the pay. My schedule actually says layover due to exceed max FDP. The fact we were scheduled to within 30 minutes of the max FDP had nothing to do with that right :o So I think it was within their control and I think they need to "Show me the money!"

I asked a while back how you get back to the last read post on apc from the APC iPhone app. I figured it out. Every time you finish you should subscribe to the thread again and that should do it. For those who are curious and don't want to have to slide 5000+ pages.

Uhmmm.... U could also just accept the cookie from apc and when you auto login just click the link on upper left of the page that says "view first unread". Not on any special apc iPhone app though. Just normal safari.

Good to know about the per diem situation.

You do NOT get positive space commuting to your OE or jumpseat observation flights though. 100% you do NOT get positive space, unless they JUST changed it especially for this group of hires, which is highly unlikely.

Like I said, the system will let you do it, but you are not supposed to. It is considered a garden variety commute, and you have to get yourself there obeying the commuter policy (plus IMHO a significant fudge factor…you probably don't want to be the guy that calls in commuting to your very first company assignment…YMMV).

Interesting, since without oe you are not qualified to operate the aircraft without a check airman in the other seat, so you're still in training.

"ExpressJet leases 34 gates and other premises of the Central Passenger Terminal Complex located on Concourse C and Concourse D at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport. The lease agreement is scheduled to expire on September, 20, 2017."

That is an important piece of the puzzle. Those Eastern Airlines era - ASA gates are probably worth what Jerry Atkin paid for the airline. The City wants to keep gates available for competitors and keeps renewing the leases for ASA.

Delta (who has 2 billion to spend on stock) owned those gates via ownership of ASA and had a right of repurchase for something around the $425 mil sales price.

Does Delta buy back ASA for the gates? Does Delta buy ASA to escape the capacity purchase agreements? Does Delta buy ASA to rationalize the 76 to 110 seat gap and thus fill the other half of the C2012 scope allowance? Or, does Delta buy ASA and get screwed out of the gates by the City of Atlanta?

Who knows? It's some interesting speculation ....

I stipulate that RJ pilots are completely qualified to do the job Delta has.
I also stipulate the opposing solo in your picture has demonstrated a much higher, albeit different, skill set.
It's not an RJ slam to say Thunderbird 5 won't have a problem in a 717.
I agree with the guys who say, "pick the good dude".

I just posted it as a joke in response to the idea that a sim ride would filter applicants who had experience on similar equipment.
