I'm afraid this thread has lost its way.
I haven't seen a picture of a cheerleader for quite some time.

Hi,
I was wondering if someone could answer this question about the Delta B-Plan retirement?
Will I have the ability to invest in low-cost index funds i.e. Vanguard type within the plan, or do I have to choose from a bunch of expensive mutual funds that the provider offers?
Thanks!

Not many highly motivated 88B's?
I don't know, I thought this was supposed to be the summer of Green. Green Slips have been handed out like candy on this thing all year long then summer hits and it goes down on a weekend?
I was thinking of trying to Roll next month, maybe not.

In addition to having our defined benefit plan terminated, and continuing out of control healthcare costs, we're as much as 21% behind 2004 payrates!
Keep in mind that we're as much as 21% BEHIND the payrates we had A DECADE AGO!!! 10 Years ago and as much as 21% behind!!!!
And that's without factoring in the devastating effects of inflation!
Still feel like celebrating?

thanks for the previous two posts…..context is everything.
I can tell you with 100% certainty that you are leaning the wrong way.
The actual results don't support your euphoria.
The following was generated using the online calculator at the Bureau of Labor Statistics website.
Plugging in 777 Capt pay for 2004 would require a payrate today of $401.11---just to achieve the same purchasing power from a decade ago. The 2014 777 Capt payrate is $262.38/hr. If my math is correct, that's a deficit of $138.73----just to reach parity in purchasing power from 10 years ago!!!!
I see you've been issued new talking points.
Did you get these straight form the CEO or someone lower down the stock option chain?
Already trying to soften the troops that we're doomed, restoration unachievable (curiously, a forbidden term from the DALPA vernacular), that it's going to be a a long road...tsk.tsk.tsk
What's the message you are trying to convey? 3/3/3/3 is all we're going to get so we better settle early? The TVM argument again?
Sure sounds like it.
