A 42% pay cut and mind-boggling QOL hits, you consider positive?

So, let's say that SWA entices their pilots with a 35% raise over the term of their next contract to except PBS.

How would that effect your bottom line in regards to compensation for for out next contract.

BTW, it is rumored that FDX is also offering a similar number to secure the same acceptance for PBS there.

Not a chance someone is going to give a 35% raise to get a 3 percent increase in productivity via PBS.

Some have hatred towards ALPA. Mainline guys and RJ guys.

IMO ALPA needs to work on unity across all airline pilots before PAC will increase.

Scope got destroyed at mainline.... While whipsawing and race to the bottom continues at the regional level. Something to consider.

A couple of days ago I was flying with a new hire (previous ASA/XJ) on his first oe. We are in Concourse D walking when two XJ pilots come walking the other way. He says "Hi" and waves to his former peeps and they absolutely ignore him. He was one of them a month ago and now he is not. I laughed out loud. Classic.

Ticked about what? We raise the bar, and they are ticked at US???

Wasn't SWA's last contract ten years? 35% over a ten year term? Sounds like their historic style.

If we did that here, certain players would want to burn down the house. They do it there, and it is somehow viewed as brilliant. I am totally confused.

Didn't they do that while others were taking 40% cuts? I don't see SWAPA doing that in this environment.

Really? Betcha a cold one they do exactly that kind of thing. SWA ain't growing like the old SWA... I'll betcha their contract negotiations drag on for quite some time, and when they DO sign one, it will be mediocre at best.

Yep, they will continue to drag on and the SWA guys will blame the AT acquisition/pilots for everything. In fact, they already do. This isn't Dad's SWA anymore.
