Remember that you're two clicks away from making it fly like a DC-9.

Not really. There's no cables, pulleys or mechanical trim tabs in an Airbus. Hand flying all you are doing is manually inputting the potentiometers that the autoflight and computers normally do. And what kind of airplane flies better manually when you take your hands off of it?!?! It's black magic and sorcery, blasphemy, and made by three cheese eating surrender Moakies (monkies, but that was too funny an auto correct ) be afraid, very afraid, especially if you are senior to me

Ha, yep but when I checked in 14 years ago they told me there were mirrors on the ceiling and pink champagne on ice. :)

Yes, on second thought, everyone stay AWAY from the AIRBUS.

Any BNA commuters care to PM about parking?

In the past I've parked there infrequently so I've never had a monthly parking pass anywhere. Its been kinda expensive to pay as you go anywhere I've gone. I'd be open to ideas on a pay as you use schedule too because I can use STL or BNA both so it'd be nice to not have to pay if you aren't using. I have that in STL right now.

I'm thinking about making BNA my primary commuter airport (I'm 2:15 from STL or 3:00 from BNA but its a wash commuting to ATL by the time you fly from STL back over BNA). Looks like BNA-ATL has just a little better service than STL-ATL too.

A local 777 F/O that could hold 737 captain in NYC. If he got a SLI gig teaching the 777, would he get paid 737 CA rates? And anyone with an opinion about whether it's worth the extra work for someone that did not have to commute?

Unless the rules have changed, F/O instructors are paid the highest F/O position they can hold and Capts are paid up to 765A pay. When I was a 727B instructor the highest pay I could get was L10B pay. The good deal is you never worry about working holidays and you could swap with other instructors. You could also do additional seat fillers for 5 hours each.

Lynn Ivey is who you're looking for. You can reach her by calling Crew Resources.
