Completely disingenuous.
They know EXACTLY what they want. I bet they've got a 10-year roadmap to squeeze every penny and second out of us. Dalpa says "king me." RA says "checkmate." |

Nobody has said otherwise. What you and alfaromeo etal fail to acknowledge is that pilot block hours are highly influenced by the growth of the airline or lack thereof. The two can occasionally diverge if labor gives up or wins productivity items, or when the airline embarks on a re-fleeting strategy. Other than that, airline growth (positive or negative) equates to pilot block hours which generally equates to pilot jobs. You and the other morale crushers can't acknowledge airline growth because it would defeat your entire thesis about C2012 being a net positive value to pilots.
Completely made up number by you sailingfun. You have nothing to prove this. Yet another straw man argument. Nobody besides you has said this. Carl |

I don't think it was until after 9/11 that Management got serious about BK, but by early 2003 they certainly were. Leo visited the cockpit and was surprisingly frank: "I'm a banker, and know that UAL waited too long."
That's when I knew it was coming, and took an early retirement shortly afterward. :( |

There sure does seem to be a whole lot of upward mobility and hiring going on around here since C2012. Not so much before.

You are correct the Babe was one of a kind, and Hank was and will always be a class act. Its a shame to see a century of records recently blemished by a few "juiced" players - hopefully the Hall will not be inducting them.
I also agree that Hank is the true Home run King - but 2000 more at bats than Babe??? Not even close. Hank Aaron came to bat 12,364 times, the Babe had 8399 at bats. Hank had 3,956 more at bats than Babe! Of course I think this just proves your point even more so - The Babe was the Shiz. But as a born in Brooklyn, lifelong Yankees fan my favorite all time player is still "Lou." Scoop :) And Lou's farewell speech was far, far greater than that politician hack's "we have nothing to fear" nonsense. Even JFK's (questionable meaning) "ask not" speech pales in comparison. |

Who doesn't like Goodfellas? I think all those violence for the sake of violence movies show absolutely no creativity on the part of the director producer and actors. jmho And pulp fiction sucked too. |

Why did he wait to long. All the economic guys felt we filed a year to late and damn near got liquidated. We were down to 1.1 billion in cash when we should have filed when we dropped down below 2 billion. Leo's plan as far as I could tell was do everything possible to avoid chapter 11 because USAIR was going out of business and all would be well.
