That's a fair criticism.
In this case I am told (by web board sources) that a negotiator and MEC Chair accepted a deal that was below MEC direction. However, it is significant that the MEC then accepted it. The MEC could have struck it down and the pilots could have struck it down. None did, so it is a deal. I see this as more of a demand, offer, and compromise agreement. If the counter offer is accepted, it does not much matter what the demand was. Since there is nothing we can do about the past, other than learn from it, then you need to provide guidance to your Reps. If you feel the protocol issues (perhaps engaging in negotiations outside the scope of one's authority) is significant enough, perhaps you might tell your Reps that you don't want that person to serve in a similar capacity, or in a position where they are in contact with senior leadership directly representing the pilots. My point is, the past is the past. Better to look forward. I agree about looking forward, but we can I'll afford the same tactics and skewed interests to influence C2015. History doesn't repeat itself, but it frequently echoes. I also agree we need to get behind our MEC and NC, with a (metaphorical) gun at their back if needed. |

I think all those violence for the sake of violence movies show absolutely no creativity on the part of the director producer and actors. jmho And pulp fiction sucked too. Pulp fiction was one of the top 10 movies of all time. In fact, Tarantino hasn't made a movie that isn't in the top 50...except dusk to dawn and that was Robert rodriguez's fault. I'll sign you up for the sleepless in Seattle, Gone with the wind, English patient marathon. ... Long walks on the beach, quiet evenings at home ... I just want to be held ...well baby, you got the bonus plan. |

Sorry. I didn't find any redeeming qualities to the movie whatsoever. A guy getting his brains blown out in the backseat if the car is not comical by any stretch of the imagination. We will have to agree to disagree, but you can have the last word on it.

We were told at the roadshows that C2012 would cost us about 125 jobs, given a static number of block hours. Next year, preliminary reports are that block hours are supposed to be 6-7% higher than this year. |
