RE the Rotation Construction Survey; all they really need to do is look at what the most senior pilots in each category are asking for, and then look at the bottom line holders, see what (crap) they are being assigned.
That will quickly show them -exactly- what most pilots want, and DON'T want! I really believe this whole exercise is more about pretending "We Care" vs. actually doing anything about it, rotation construction wise. The company is going to build what ever costs them the least credit time. |
Malaysia lost another 777 today. Crashed in the Ukraine. We fly the exact same route at the moment to Bombay. Flying over war zones always seems a bit questionable.

There has been letter after letter put out by both the company and DALPA on why the 88 and 320 rotations have degraded. The company is running strictly a min credit solution this summer on rotation construction for the 88. You can read any one of several letters for the reasons why. The problem is not because of the rotation changes but the fact those changes have all been removed until fall.

I'm looking through the August bid results and can't find a line in which the pilot was forced into multiple back to back trips. What category are we talking about?
Also, trip mix has nothing to do with available days off in PBS. That is purely a function of what days off have been awarded to more senior pilots. |

I'm starting a stretch of 16 days of flying in a 19 day period. 117 sucks. We need to tighten up work rules, among other things, in 2015.
Just to be sure, you might call the PBS Help Desk or one of the PBS bidding services to QC your bid for techniques that might help. |

I never saw that it was a programming delay. It requires more pilots and is the reason they doubled the hiring in JUN and Jul.

Look harder. I've got 13 straight days of work in August. Unsat.

Really? Sure seems that they made the decision to hire more prior to the LOA being signed. You got some proof for us?

The 5:15 Was in discussion since Dec. I believe it was pretty well agreed to on early April. Don't know when they announced the increase in hiring but the company put out it was because of the increased manning.
